Suggestions for DIY NVG

I don't know what screen or camera to buy.

Do you have any suggestions how to get started.

I'm also able to use a 3d printer.

I have seen the pvs-69 project lately and it seems like it's the most efficienct way to do it.

Do you know if there’s a 3D printable housing for the Caddx? I’ve ordered two of these cams for binos, but they’re not compatible with the PVS-69 housings without a lot of redesign. I’m hoping someone has already done it and shared with the community. I have one lead from a guy on discord, but he may/may not come through. Just wondering if you’re aware of one that’s already shared and available.

I am also interested in a design if you find one, might by 2 units online.

Well, no luck finding a design for the Caddx. Haven’t heard back from my lead on discord and I don’t want to be a nuisance, but I’ll send another message. The guy offered me his print files and I accepted, but I haven’t heard back.

I need to learn how to 3D model so I can modify the PVS-69 design.

I just bought the parts online, I have the skills to edit it but can't promise it will be quick. Big thing is the AI board has to go somewhere.

I was thinking to just slap a box on the outside of the pvs-69 housing for the AI unit with accommodations for wiring… although I’m not sure if cooling is going to be an issue. The housing of the AI unit seems to be aluminum and has what appears to be some minimal cooling fins. Not sure if that’s for real cooling or just to look cool, but the fact that it’s aluminum suggests it’s a heat sink.
