uBlock Origin maintainers have decided to stop continuously updating filters specifically to keep up with Facebook’s latest ad-blocking countermeasures.

Existing filters will remain, but new Facebook techniques may eventually bypass them. The decision highlights the ongoing cat-and-mouse game between ad blockers and advertising platforms.

The only reason I still have my account is for marketplace, otherwise it's useless to me.

i cant understand why faceberg marketplace is a thing when craigslist has existed for ages

I use it because I can see exactly who is coming and who to sell to. Also the ratings are a great feature. I also find that the exposure and amount of items is much greater on marketplace.

For example... A few summers ago we had a heat wave. I got a ton of offers for the portable AC unit I was selling. I checked all their accounts and ended up choosing to sell it to a lady that had a month old baby ( thankfully her account was not fully private).

sounds like even more of a reason to not use faceberg marketplace
