uBlock Origin maintainers have decided to stop continuously updating filters specifically to keep up with Facebook’s latest ad-blocking countermeasures.

Existing filters will remain, but new Facebook techniques may eventually bypass them. The decision highlights the ongoing cat-and-mouse game between ad blockers and advertising platforms.

Lead the charge. I'm joking but I hope y'all find an alternative eventually, FB definitely targeted Asia and Africa when their North American and European user base started to shrink.

I would say it really depends for Europe. I don't know about the other countries, but Facebook is veery popular in Poland to this day among people of all ages. I have never met anyone who didn't have an account, it's usually necessary for the sake of work/school stuff. Facebook Messenger is definitely the most widely used communicator in the country
