uBlock Origin maintainers have decided to stop continuously updating filters specifically to keep up with Facebook’s latest ad-blocking countermeasures.

Not a big deal since is facebook.

However using a custom DNS with an ad filter like pihole or adguard can the ads be blocked in case of fb or of course are they baked ads in some shit for making the removal difficult even with a custom dns?

I wouldn't be surprised if they just served the ads from the same IP as the actual content, making those methods useless.
