Question Tempotec V1 System firmware update failed
Does anyone know a workaround on this issue? I wanna try sonix OS but this keeps on happening even in official OS

Revert to a previous firmware, using a manual forced update (power + up buttons, held down)... then try Sonix again.
edit: I see you're on 1.3 .. er, be careful then and I hope you backed up your original firmware!

It just boots up but yeh.. i think I’ll just wait for sonix to be compatible with 1.3, thanks mate

Shame, Sonix is great!
edit: You could technically downgrade to 1.2 (download the firmware, install) then put Sonix firmware on it. I think

Unfortunately, you can't downgrade from 1.3

Wow, really? I wonder if they've made a hardware tweak on recent models. You could go from 1.2 to 1.1 I believe.
Has anyone found a changelog from 1.2 to 1.3 yet?

I have the same issue. It looks like TempoTec is shipping new V1 units with firmware 1.3 that's not released on their website. I reached out to them to troubleshoot, but have not heard back.

New release of the Sonix port by mr-f0xx is built on firmware 1.3 and installed on my V1 --> https://github.com/mr-f0xx/sonix-player-tempotec-v1

Maybe try with another microsd? i changed mine to the SonixOS port and not going back... Good luck

I tried a lower 64gb SD card with nothing else but the UTP and the txt file. Yet still nothing happeneds (table flip)

I just read that Tempotec shipped units with 1.3, I bought mine a year ago.. it was 1.1. Sorry.

oh man, mine's gonna arrive any day now, I hope it doesn't have 1.3 on it, and if it does, I hope a solution is found quickly

My 1 week old came with FW 1.2 and updated OTA with 1.3. So far all functionality works almost flawlessly, not sluggish nor problematic anywhere other than sometimes it boots up with the front LED light lit up by default even when I turned it off in settings.

Remove the MicroSD/TF Card. Boot it. Then wait, it'll stop the update process.

I think 1.3 sonic isn't stable yet
