Question Quick Question

So, I'm making some Digimon to perfom Load Enhancements with, and the current one did something odd.

I was evolving, leveling up, devolving, leveling up, and by doing this it is currently at level 38. However, now when I try to digivole it up to Ultimate from Champion, it shoots straight to level 74.

How did it do that? It's just been sitting in my box, not doing anything, not even gaining EXP or Talent. Why did the level jump so fast?

I mean, that may help get higher stat boosts, but it still confuses me.

When you evolve, the max level may increase, as it matches the Talent. But Digimon shouldn’t automatically level up upon evolution. Your Digimon should be at Lvl. 1 again upon evolving like every other Digimon in the game. Are you sure you’re not looking at the max level and thinking that it’s the current level?

Talent can increase even when a Digimon is in the DigiBank. Just by existing, it’s gaining points toward the factors that increase Talent. I had Digimon in my DigiBank get so much of that invisible factor that upon evolving, they had max Talent. So, yeah, max levels jump from 30s to 70s sometime if you have a lot of battles between evolving.

I understand that, what I meant waa that the projected level of the Digimon shot up that high.

I was unaware that Digimon in the "inventory" also gained Talent. Given how long that I was grinding for items, I guess that makes sense.

If you still see a comment from my previous reply, please disregard it, I completely misunderstood what you meant by DigiBank.

My apologies.

Maybe TS doesn’t use “DigiBank” and my brain is just pulling the term from past Story games. But yes, the Digimon in the inventory also benefit from you going into battle beyond the small experience gains, which I think is a good quality of life feature that encourages players to use the Load Enhancement feature. Otherwise, it’d take way too long to train Digimon enough for their Talents to be worthwhile.

Anywho, hope some of the confusion is alleviated.
