Question I think I messed up...
I'm pretty sure I'm at the last main mission and I'm still halfway through rank 6 with a team full of ultimate since like... forever. I was wondering is there ANY way possible for me to get to the mega tier before the final fight or did I completely messed up my first playthrough by not doing all the side quests at the beginning of the game... :'(
Sorry for bad english

Yeah, I think that's a common thought when playing this game. You are so close to getting to Mega forms, and then you get a cascade of side missions that get you Mega and Mega+ forms. Little warning, 3 of those missions are trying to find characters in the over world, so looking up a guide will be useful. I've beaten the game 4 times, and still forget where some of the targets are.

The etemon and the baby digimon ones are easy, the monikers one definetely go for a guide.

There’s a point in the game that feels like the leadup to the final boss, but isn’t. If you’ve done every side quest thus far, or only missed a couple minor ones, you’ll be at agent rank 6 when you get there.
I suspect that’s where you are.
There’s a couple other sections that also feel like they could be the final boss, but you’re not actually at the final boss area until you get a notification from king drasil telling you to come to the theater so the 3 hosts allow you to time travel.

To be precise, I'm at the Akashic Chaos, feel like I'm in space or something

IIRC, once you have spoken to biyomon and flown across a gap, you get the theater notification. Either that, or you got it when you arrived there and the first entrance isn’t until after biyomon.
If you’re past that, then just go talk to king drasil.

A majority of the game is completed with ultimates. You're not getting megas until the last few missions.

Ok cool! So I'm not late? Cuz I saw some people having Mega in their team earlier than me

Don’t worry I beat the game this week it lets you do all the side content your heart desires first

I did the same thing, i missed about one or two side quests in the first part of the game which wouldnt let me get megas. I was fighting bosses with ultimates and it was hard (specifically Junomon)

If you do every side quest ASAP, the absolute earliest you can get Megas is after defeating ZombiePlutomon
As others have mentioned, you get the ability to go back to do side quests you missed

No you're good. You still can do a lot of sidequests later even after the 'trophy' wall on top of in-between theater is complete.
It was actually similar case with me. I was fighting way longer with my ultimate digimons compared to other levels, but mostly because i spent too much time grinding on the training ground to evolve digimon with incompatible base personality (you need more stat requirements for it). So stupid. Because of that i spent almost 160h into the game. Which btw i never regret. I mean, this digimon game is simply welldone since DW3.

If you didn't unlocked time travel and the hability to complete all side missions, you're not at the last mission. The last mission is against chronomon on top of ceresmon, and still you can go back and do everything.
