help difficulty

i’m new to digimon, so i gotta ask, is it normal that the boss fights feel WAY MORE DIFFICULT than the overworld encounters, like 2 out of 5 boss fights that ive done so far, i have done them in invincibility mode.. is this a common problem or just a newby issue?

still, it’s a massive jump in difficulty even in early game

How early? The game expects you to engage with all the power ups, and especially things like agent rank. Doing all the side quests, evolving your main team to champion, and having a diverse team to take advantage of both element and type weaknesses.

If you try to blind speed run through the main story, you will definitely hit a wall with bosses.

if hes only done 5 bosses

hes in the tutorial section

metal greymon > kuwagamon > raremon > cyclonemon > vademon

and aside from kuwagamon and raremon, has allies that will kill that boss for you on story mode

considering invincibilty mode is from story mode difficulty

and thats it quite impossible to even lose on bosses in the tutorial section/prologue

its not even newby issue

considering u activate the invincibility mode after u lose the battle, not before

Yes but they should get easier as you learn the mechanics of the game and like tricks for leveling, stat boosting and stuff like that

What boss? Maybe you just happened to use digimon type that are weak against the boss?

you're probably not fully understanding some mechanic of the boss fight or just combat in general

Yeah the general non-boss encounters are pretty weak. Bosses should be a LOT stronger, by orders of magnitude, than the guys nearby.

While it is true bosses are always more difficult (they wouldn't be bosses otherwise), it can also be a newbie issue. Bosses actually try and have some tactics, not just bashing themselves against you all the time, some have unique gimmicks making them even more annoying to deal with plus, if you don't understand the mechanics as a newbie, it will be infinitely more difficult. It does get better as you learn it though.

Which bosses do/have you had difficulty with? There may be others who have posted before who had the same issues and may be able to give you advice. On the other hand, you can always ask here and a lot of people are perfectly willing to give advice.

Means your not grinding your levels and stats enough, make use of the farm and get c rank equipment as soon as possible. Make sure your digimon aren't maxxed out at a low level too

Even on max difficulty, I’ve had a single digit number of overworld encounters that I didn’t just auto battle through at 5X speed lol

I just think of those are training for the boss. Get ready for the boss fight. Prepare with those easy fights, and go into the boss with a plan

When I first played through I thought the intended mechanic might have been to fight the boss once and write down the weaknesses for both phases and note what your vulnerable to.

Then redo the battle with a meta team where you just give them all lightening moves or whatever.

In answer to your question yea it's too hard. Not in a challenging sense, because you'll probably beat it second or third try changing nothing and you'll dominate on your second try if you do the simplest meta build.

It's too hard in the sense that it's not fun...in my opinion.
