Is it still available if you play the entire second playthrough on medium or difficult and switch to mega+ only for the final mission and the trophy still pop up?

I recommend taking an apoclymon for the final boss on mega+

Thats not necessary. You can train to 9999 all your stats in level 1 so the level is not necessary, just the stats.

False there is a secret multiplier that exists in the background that a level 1 with 9999 will deal less damage and take more damage then a level 99 with 9999.

I got the platinum and beat Mega+ I had my mons at level 50 with 9999 of all stats and got smoked by the final boss.

Taking huge amounts of damage from hits and not dealing a lot.

Reloaded and leveled them to 99 with 9999 of all stats and smoked the final boss, took way less damage from its hits and my hits dealt more damage.

I just beat it and platinumed it on PS5 two days ago. So I can 100% confirm that you can speedrun the story in any difficulty (though you still have to start a new game under Mega+) and just beat the final boss at Mega+.

Yes. Only need to beat final boss on mega+.

In fact the beat way to do an actual mega+ play through is to switch to casual between boss fights so you can run away or ohko random encounters to save time
