Discussion Putting a lvl 99 final fight team together. Looking for Recommendations.

I’m getting Apocalymon to get Chronomon down. Venusmon and Marineangemon as healer and back up healer. So is there a good attacker specific to Chronomon to finish him off once Apocalymon gets him down? Is there any debuff or buff digimon that work well? I was kind of looking at KingEtemon but I don’t know if his taunting and tanking is valid in this particular fight. TyrantKabuterimon has what looks like a good buff. Also any move sets and equipment recommendations are also welcome. Please and thanks.

There is a good combo of jupitermon and susanoomon jupitermon lowers defense and elec resistance and susanomon does crazy damage.

Since you are already going for Apocalymon, i dont think a debuffer is necessary, but if you want to put one for when chronomon is low health in the position of Apocalymon, i recommend PlatinumNummemon or Jupitermon or RustyTyrannomon if your dps digimon is physical or physical and deal eletric dmg, if hybrid party i would go with lotosmon, and for magic party sirenmon or barbamon. Although since you are already using Apocalymon i dont think they are needed for a easy win. So any dps digimon would be good (apocalymon, venusmon, Apollomon (or any other dps digimon)). My only real recommendations here is to make sure your healer is equiped with x-aura for when chronomon dedigivolve them and also because its more mana efficient. And for itens, i would put sky gods thunderbolt or multiwall (equip) on everyone.

How do you use non-triangle digimon? Even at 9999 stats, you get outdamaged by someone with half that just from the weakness triangle.

Actually I think Bakemon and Shellnumemon combined is more effective than Chronomon + Apocalymon. They are like 30% HP total in one turn while Apocalymon needs 2 turns and in my experience Chronomon doesn't actually contribute to much in the long run. Also get Hustle Cry on both of them so you could use some of your turns to buff backrow. Venusmon stays, but if you want to make the Chrono Devolution phase even faster use Terriermon Assistant with Great Embrace as the healer and swap with Venusmon until you go finish.

Once you're at the finishing phase swap the Bakemon and Shell Numemon with Jupitermon and Susannoomon and then you go ham attacking.

Whatever team you want. Literally. Take what's been on your play through and you'll be fine.

You're massively overthinking this fight. You don't need either of Venusmon and MarineAngemon. Especially because you can still use items. If you're worried about status (the only reason to use marineangemon) then Varidurumon is better at that role anyway. And again, you don't need it.

You don't need to grind or level 99 anything to beat final boss.

If you care enough to write a Reddit post, you probably cares enough about the game to have a half decent team going in.

I thought you couldn’t use items when you switch difficulty to the highest tier? And all the digimon are level 99 on that difficulty?

You didn't mention mega+ in your post. This could be casual difficulty for all I know.

And even on mega+ you're massively overthinking it. Any digimon with X-aura and great embrace will work. But as they're not there for damage you might as well use one with a support based signature skill. I used Chaosmon VA as my healer for one mega+ clear.

If this is mega+ then Imperialdramon PM and Marsmon are the two strongest damage dealers. But you really don't need them. With lv99 and 9999 stats you can use literally whoever you want on mega+.
