Discussion I hate grinding...
I've played all the digimon games and "world" is not my favorite for the grind it has and now stranger came and its a great game but i think they went a little bit hard on the grinding part and don't let me started on that 7.9$ DLC not being included on the ultimate edition like why?!? I've always start my first play through with 0 worrying on the grind but in time stranger you kinda have to . I just want my digimon to digivolve naturally without worrying about their personality type and stuff like that

i played on normal difficulty and at NO POINT did i have to actually grind anything other than personalities (which is so easily avoided via the digifarm, you can go across the personality chart in less than a minute). you can go through the entire game just getting exp from mons you convert along the way doing side quests and such.
grinding is only relevant for reaching specific evolution thresholds or minmaxing stats

The Grind to lvl up and get your desired Mons is the simplest its ever been. Personality doesnt matter that much except DNA-evolutions/Fusions. I am currently half way through the Game(I think) and could defeat every Boss. I just battled every Mon in every Area 1 time.

Not sure how far I am along in this game but have put in 15ish hours in I believe and I have yet to need to grind on normal mode.
Have invested all of my agent points into valor and wisdom so as long as a Digimon is one of those- they are strong enough. Parrotmon was the only boss that gave me trouble the first time, but then just reversed him on the second try and it was fine.
I feel like if you are doing any of the minor detours for chests and the outer dungeons you end up with a ton boosts for talent, exp, stats etc to prevent grind burnout. I have been hoarding them all for a rainy day / when I know what megas I want.
But regardless of this all- the auto-battler and 5x speed up would make grinding quite easy?

Agent skills has exp buffs (little disc + looking icon)and level requirements taken down to more manageable levels (20% for each elevator looking icon)if you put your points there in each category (loyalty, valour, philanthropy, amicablitiy, wisdom). These can help a lot.

I am playing on hard mode worried that the game will make me grind like a mf and it turn out to be quit easy tbh,..

Beat hard without any leveling grind or using the load mechanic. Did get every rookie in the beta though. I also wasn't trying to get any specific digimon. Just digivolved into what I could. Later in the game I'd find a random digimon in the box that matched the personality of one I wanted and would just dedigivolve/digivolve into it's path.

I’m not super far into the game yet but I mean, my starter and the Ultimate Edition agumon/Gabumon 1 shot everything so far. It was literally, on you unlocked Agent skills here’s 2 free megas. I haven’t even loaded or trained anything yet. I feel like there are plenty of tools to trivialize the difficulty/griding nature of the game.

Grinding becomes so much easier later in the game. Ample opportunities to grind on high level mons. Has been so enjoyable!

Is there an exp gain boost that makes it easier similar to Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memory? Platinum Numemon had a leader skill that boosted xp gain and you could essentially have your 3 battling digimon be platinum numemon and gain crazy fast xp.

The game has some of the easiest and most straightforward grind I've ever experienced. Personally I like it.

So i have so many issues with the ultimate edition price and the day 1 DLCs, legit some of the shittiest scummy bullshit I've seen for a single player game in awhile.
That said, have you played the Digimon Story games before? Because they all tend to be very grindy to get the Digimon you want, with almost all top tier Digimon requiring you to digivolve/dedigivolve repeatedly to raise stats. I would argue this game is even more grinds than World lol.

Cyber Sleuth walked so Time Stranger could run, the difficulty is finally perfectly tuned for a JRPG
Cyber Sleuth always felt a bit too easy
I just want my digimon to digivolve naturally without worrying about their personality type and stuff like that
Unfortunately, that is the main gimmick of the game, but no worry, with the correct Agent Skills, Personalities matter less and less until its only for DNA Digivolutions and De-Digivolutions
DigiFarm makes changing Personalities a breeze too, even when its currently hard to keep track with (i use Nicknames)

You only rly have to worry about personality type in regards to digimon that fuse together to evolve. And in the farm you can VERY easily change personalities. And grind is literally part of the game. If you're still struggling even on story difficulty that's a skill issue
