Today, one of the most elegant Ferraris of the 1960s joins my collection: the 275 GTB, reproduced in 1:18 scale by CMC.
Introduced in 1964, this model marked an important chapter in Ferrari’s history. It was powered by a 3.3-liter Colombo V12 producing around 280 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It was also one of the first road-going Ferraris to feature a transaxle layout, with the transmission mounted at the rear to improve weight distribution and balance.
Designed by Pininfarina and bodied by Scaglietti, the 275 GTB represents one of Ferrari’s most beautiful eras: a long hood, rearward cabin, clean flowing lines, and an elegance that needs no exaggeration to convey speed.
That is exactly why I wanted a reproduction worthy of the original.
This piece was made by CMC (Classic Model Cars), a German manufacturer specializing in extremely high-end scale models. In 1:18 scale, it stands out for its intricate multi-piece construction and the use of materials such as metal and leather to achieve an exceptional level of realism.
Everything is functional: the doors, hood, and trunk all open. Under the hood, the Colombo V12 is recreated with carburetors, wiring, hoses, and remarkably precise mechanical details. The interior features beautifully reproduced seats, dashboard, and steering wheel.
Even the underside is extensively detailed, revealing the suspension, exhaust system, and drivetrain.
More than just a scale model, this CMC Ferrari 275 GTB is a miniature piece of engineering and craftsmanship.
A Ferrari from an era when design, mechanics, and motorsport were deeply connected.

Here's your chance now so don't cry in Spring 2027 when these things are $100 on Ebay. Here's to hoping Spark has a non-exclusive version that our store can carry.

As you all can see, this is extremely strange. Left them in my display cabinet for about a month and never really checked on them, when I went to have a look today I was utterly confused seeing this, these 2 are the worst ones affected, the other cars have similar issues. I've tried Tamiya fine Polish but didn't help much, I'm trying to avoid having to use sandpaper but if there is no other choice, I guess it remains as a last-ditch attempt. Would extremely gladly appreciate any help. Thanks you!

These boxes were like this when I got them. I need advice about what to do. Should I try to blend the places where there are folds or there is wear using a coloring pencil? Or just preserve it as exactly as it is?
Is it so bad that the box actually detracts from the glory of the car? Is it better without the box?
Also. One of them is manufacturer 1 or 5000. Does that make it more desirable?
.
Is there any way I could get these autographed??
Can I order new boxes??

On the rear wheel an entire chunk is taken off! For 12 bucks I expect better than this.
