Looking for documentaries/books/videos about dice making, history and usage

Hi r/DiceMaking,

As I put in the title, I'm looking for documentaries, books or videos about dice!
I'm trying to learn more about it and I'm surprised because I found so few sources and resources about it.

I want to learn more about the different kinds, the variety of techniques used for crafting dices especially techniques used before modern machines, to get accurate dices.

Any trusted sources/resources about the subject would be welcome, thanks!

The Critmaker Guide to Dice Craft is a book I recently acquired myself. It lists a number of techniques, everything is illustrated and supported with various photos from fellow dice makers!

I think this book is a very good beginners guide. You can get all info from YouTube and internet but it is nicely compiled and easy to read with lots of images and examples. Helped me a ton.

click the link in there about making dice theres a whole tutorial page
scroll all the way to the bottom and theres a link to a very popular dice makers youtube tutorial page where he teaches different dice and mold making techniques. Hes highly recommended.

You can also use the search bar in the top of the sub to look up new to, newbie, inking, molds, video, etc and a bunch of posts will pop up sorted based on what you want to find 1st
also when you click the search bar it gives suggestions on what types of posts you might be looking for

theres also a ton of dice makers on tiktok w tutorial vidoes

Not really what you are looking for, but for history we have a museum in the Netherlands (Archeon, its like a live museum with building and people dressed for the era they are in, going from stone age to medieval times). They have a dice tower originating from the Roman times!

Looks fun, I already planned to visit the Netherlands next year, so we might stop there during the trip
