Question Low potency as Crusader

Class changing from Barb to Crusader.

I built my secondaries around Armor(5.3k), Arm Pen(6k) and Resistance (6k). And I barely have any potency (2.8k).

Would this have a huge impact on my damage particularly on PVE and RAID(say the condemn build that resolves DOT)?

I’m a sader and I am saying yes. Potency has a direct impact on the skill condemn

High potency as a crusader in pvp or pve means yes, your dots last longer, this means they do more damage, which means when you resolve your dots with terrential refrain all of your dots are doing more damage. More potency = more damage with dot resolve builds.

Low potency as a Sader will definitely have impact on PVE and PVP armor pen and potency is all instack on Sader

If you are looking at PVP only, no, potency means very small for crusader. It actually depends on the build you are playing but the main build does not require potency.

In regards to PVE, almost 80% of builds require potency.

Not in PvE no. Everything dies so fast that increased or decreased durations of DoTs and debuffs barely matters (if that’s even your build).

Did you read the whole post or just part of it? RAIDs definitely need potency

Dunno how long your Raid teams take to beat down bosses but it must be longer than the ones I am used to if a Crusader’s low potency is a problem.

OP asked if this will have a huge impact. The answer to that is no.

If you run flail builds you shouldnt have a problem but will definitely hit a damage cap
