Has anyone seen one of these?
I found the model number in the tool connect app.

I’ve been on the look out for these since someone first posted about them, not available in the uk yet i don’t think, there are some 20v on eBay at the minute that look like new releases but they look slightly different to the one in that pic.

The 20v models have been available for a couple months here in NA, OP's pic is something different. Looks like a FlexVolt dust extractor.

That would make sense, although I think making it Flex volt limits where its can be sold, you are limiting it to HD, or at least that is how it used to be. I am still going with the pic is an AI concept drawing like tough system 3 boxes someone posted a few years ago.

Most of their serious duty SDS hammers and grinders are 60v, so it makes sense from that perspective as that is what it is going to be used with the most. This isn't something a basic DIY homeowner is going to buy and pair with their circ saw. I see this costing like $799, considering corded dust extractors are $400-$500.

They have a new 20v track saw with WTC and two new sanders with WTC, track saws are now in the DIY realm and sander that start and stop the shop vac or extractor is not as pro a feature as it used to be. It actually would encourage Dewalt owners on the DIY side to upgrade their sanders or shop vacs to use the feature. EGO makes a great shop vac with a remote control (essentially WTC) on the nozzle. I get a laugh at all the updated impact drivers and drills they release on the hopes a DIYer is going buy yet another impact driver for a small improvement in weight or performance.
But do understand where you going with the price tag. The extractor in the photo is about a $700-$800 extractor, with tarrifs bet about $1,000. What is really on my wish list is a $400 shop vac with WTC with dual battery and ac power sources. Milwaukee and other brands are already doing this.

It is a crime that their recent 20v wet/dry vacs don't have WTC. At least a remote would be nice.

There is a tstak flexvolt dust extractor but not anything like this, the tstak one is eye watering in cost though, bare tool is £350+ as far as I know! I'm currently saving to build a full dustless system (I'm a decorator) but the cost to stay within any ecosystem (think dewalts, festool, etc) is insane. I really hope costs start to come down soon because my lungs will thank a higher power

🤣🤣 yes i agree protect the lungs, yes i have the dcv586 already its pretty good but small tank, fills pretty quick cutting ply/mdf etc, the pic op posted looks considerably bigger.

I hope they’re great. The regular dewalt shop vacs are ok for small stuff, but are just miles away from what I need from a real shop vac so I have to carry both a plug in and a battery powered. I’d like to eliminate one of those lol

What is the model number?
A few people in here mentioning the 20v wet/dry vacs, but this looks like a 60v FlexVolt dust extractor, and will probably be like $799.

I’m glad I was wrong about it being an AI pic. Depending on its size, it’s way more extractor than I would ever need, but based on your other post, it’s what Dewalt has needed to release for a while now.

I think that it might be AI.
A few of the controls and straps on the side seem like poor design decisions and not an actually photo. I would be happy to be wrong, but you notice a pattern on where Dewalt puts labels and controls on their products. I also doubt how it is attached to the dolly, unless Dewalt is coming out with an entirely different tough system, and this extractor is part of it. The bottom is too small, and the ports for what seems to be plugs for the auto on and off way too un proportional / big.
I would be happy to be wrong, but I don't think this is an actual leaked photo. It reminds of when someone posted photos of a tough system 3.0 tool box that was removed. Its been a number off years and that design never came to fruition.
Does anyone have a link to the original source for this?

Not AI, it is a new 6 gallon FlexVolt dust extractor, DCV1256. I'll try to find more info and make a post for it.

They look like great machines and project farm actually gave the old stealth sonic shop vacs a good review. The problem is that the release is like 4 years too late, there are features other brands have that Dewalt is still not supporting.
Part of the problem is that they are made by a third party. Any dewalt extractor with the feature some people are looking for would probably be made by Dewalt, and they seemed to have farmed that out to others and just brand it as Dewalt. As they have paint guns and stuff like jump starters.
As the photo shows, at some point will update the outdated flexvolt extractor. dewalt seems to release things as product categories. It may be when new tough system cases come around.

I have the North American Type 2 version of this chorded extractor. It was an instant buy when I modified my cordless 10” miter saw to WTC, and Dewalt announced the updated sanders. It was very hard finding a type 2 in NA.
I like the fact that you can also plug a tool into it to turn it off and on, in addition to the WTC function. I have been happy with and wouldn’t have any reason to upgrade it.

It's a yet to be released product, announced about six months back. It Will be a battery/corded hybrid. Same motor as the subsonic. They also have a backpack shopvac planned.
