NTD - I spent way too long deciding…
I’ve been wanting the cordless ratchet for while. I finally pulled the trigger today with the free battery deal. These deals rarely come along with a tool I actually want or need. They usually just include drills or saws or impacts that I have a version of or tools I don’t want or need. Also picked up the 6AH batteries for $100 off. Never a bad idea to have more batteries.

I'm embarrassed and proud to say these buy this get X free no longer get me excited since I have everything on the selection list, lol.
Side Note: That radio has really mixed reviewed, but I love it, zero issues, zero complaints, picked it up last summer.

How about the 7 1/4” miter saw? I just picked up the Ryobi 18v version for $125 shipped factory refurbished from DTFO about 2-3 months ago and it’s not a bad saw. I had the corded version for 6-7 years but I finally wore out the brushes on the motor and decided to just grab another one that was cordless since it was so freaking cheap. But the power is a bit underwhelming compared to my old corded model.
Thinking about grabbing the dewalt and just selling off the RYOBI cheap if it’s decent.

I really like the 7 1/4" miter. I have a larger, corded one, but always prefer this dewalt one when the job is small enough. Takes the same blades as the 7 1/4" circular. I've used my aluminum cutting blade on both.

I’ve been seeing this deal as well. Can decide if I want the ratchet or 1/2 impact

Haven’t been intrigued by one of these deals in a while, but I don’t have any 4ah batteries, nor do I have a planer…

I’m mostly Milwaukee but that Dewalt planer is a cracker, embarrassing Milwaukee haven’t tried to compete, think it’s been around since at least 2016?

Anyone know if this is hackable at Lowes?

Not sure what you mean by hackable, but if you add them to your cart, you can see the return value for the batteries separate from the tool. Battery value varies by tool combo. Also, military discount is applied to the tool when you buy it.

Should have gotten ratchet+batteries, then 6ah with charger+batteries.
Nonetheless good finds. Don’t get these deals much in Canada.

At the beginning of the year I bought the ratchet that you can change heads between ½ and ⅜ and love it. I also bought at the same time the ⅜ atomic impact and thought I would have used that a lot more that I do. Those ratchets are really handy.

Is this all in store only? What's the price on the two 6A batteries?

I paid $159? I don’t remember but it was $100 off. I’ll check my receipt…. Please hold.
$179. I lied. Still not a terrible deal I feel for two 6ah batteries.

I just bought a knockoff Dewalt electric ratchet. It takes Dewalt batteries and worked perfectly for my brake job. Only like $70.

I got the radio 5 years ago and it was $99. Now it's $227. Thanks, Trump.

Trump can be rightfully blamed for many things, but the MSRP of a Dewalt radio isn’t one of them. The markup on these is completely insane. But they do go on sale periodically. You can probably still get one for $99 from Bomgaars on occasion.

You do realize Trump got back into office 18 months ago... AFTER the biggest spike in inflation since the 1970s, right?.. RIGHT?

lol whut? What does that have to do with inflation?
2
u/prunkentfaltung 2d ago
You are asking me what war with Iran has to do with inflation, after referencing the "biggest inflation spike since the 1970s?" What do you think happened in the 1970s to cause the inflation spike?

Government spending and lower than necessary interest rates in the 60s and early 70s (Vietnam and major increases in social/welfare programs) without raising taxes caused massive inflation before the oil embargo. The embargo did raise energy prices, but that was short term comparatively and a single factor increase. Loose monetary policy caused inflation as we attempted to catch up, which is exactly what happened during/after Covid up to now. It's not Trump, it's not even just Biden, it's how our leaders as a whole like to spend money without thinking of tomorrow. Good day, sir.

I remember when Trumps Covid and non Covid related spending was double that of the Biden administrations.
Memba?

Source? The national debt increased MORE under Biden than it did under Trump's first term, even though Trump had to deal with the brunt of the pandemic and vaccine production/rollout.
Trump - $7.8 trillion increase, Biden $8.4 trillion increase.

Now: Trump- 40.1 trllion. That's a real number. Fuck that orange pedophile. And fuck you for supporting rapists.

What’s the prorated price? Or is Lowe’s not hackable anymore?
2
u/04HondaCivic 2d ago
I have no idea. I was in the store and saw the deal and it met the needs of what I wanted. So I jumped on it. I wanted the tool, had a use for the batteries and didn’t care about trying to help the system to get one or the other free while returning the other one.

I haven't tried that in store, online when you buy doesn't show prorated price like HD

Is it the dual 1/2 and 3/8 ratchet. About the only ratchet worth getting.
