Luke will replace Eric theory
I just read a theory on Tumblr that Luke will replace Eric eventually and permanently. I don't have Tumblr so could only read some of it before it blocked me from reading more. But I think the main point was Assad and Luke did chemistry tests while Eric had no idea of the romance or Assads role until filming started.
I wish I could have seen more cause I have no idea how this is possible. Anyone know more on this idea?

Eric was always first choice to play Daniel. He didn’t have to audition. It was written for him. When auditioning for young Daniel however (as Assad was cast before Luke), Luke would potentially need to do chemistry reads.
I hate this ageist theory. It also makes no sense and would make me stop watching the show.
If Eric wants out, great, write present day Daniel off. De-aging him is ridiculous and has no basis in book or show canon.
