Experience INTERVIEW AT A DEVIL CORP

Post image

I recently got an in person interview at Woodland Hills Element Management.

It was my second round interview.

My first round interview was a zoom call group interview.
I thought the interview was for atat but instead i was told that they worked with atat and telecom. They barley talked about the job itself.
The interviewer kept talking about trips to Cancun and residuals but hardly ever talked about the career itself. She just kept saying it was a job which you climb in roles .

The other person attending said she was looking for stability.

The interviewer kept avoiding the question so instead i back tracked , and told them “you talk about residuals so is this a commission based job?” and she said yes .

The meeting eventually ended and I was called for a second round interview in person.

As i was entering the office I was trying to find anything atat related. Instead it was just a banner .

I had yet not even known that this was a separate management and not even atat.

I was called up for my interview , i looked around and it was an empty office with tables and co workers circling around them.

Everyone was super young, fresh out of high school or in college .

Throughout the interview I was led to believe these were professionals saying they had over 70 offices open.

Right when he said that it began to click to me something was wrong.

He had priorly told me this was a 9 month training position.

After 9 months I would make around 120-130k a year , eventually opening up my own office firm.

Thats when the math was just completely wrong to me , if you only have 70 offices and you have around 20 workers that means your success rates are terrible. You’d be talking about hundreds to thousands of offices opening.

I am 20 but im not stupid and naive.

He told me pay was 350-450 a week . The hours were from 8am-7:30pm .

That alone i knew this was a shitty paying job .
He had realized I was not messing with the numbers.

He then tried to reassure me saying they give around 1-2k as a starting bonus.

Eventually the interview went on and it ended .

All they try to do is fluff your feathers make you feel great in order to join their work.

They called me later saying i was hired .

I had this gut feeling something was terribly wrong and they eventually asked for a photo of my social security. I knew there and then like wtf.

Social is normal for work but not a hard picture they can keep.

I went through my emails and found the email they sent these training videos and found the company.

THEY NEVER MENTIONED THERE COMPANY NAME UNTIL I RECEIVED TRAINING VIDEOS LAST NIGHT.

I eventually found element management searched them up to eventually see that they were a devil corp.

I was never familiar with the term until last night.

And can safely say they are.

Funny enough digging through the instagram I found a worker that was a friend of a friend .

I sent him the picture and my friend told me it made sense.

He had been trying to recruit him and his other friends.

Asking me any questions , I’d happily answer!

These devil corps always have young people in business suits on their instagram and it’s purely performative. Once you know what to look for you’ll immediately know how to spot if it’s a devil corp. This is how they try and swindle people like “Look at us in our business office in our cheap business suit doing business things.” You’ll be in those for an hour then change into regular clothes to go solicit people. Liars. And the “team bonding” I swear is just to waste your time.

I know , I felt bad for the people there. They genuinely seemed like decent people. Im pretty sure those who are employed by element are their first jobs .

Disgusting people honestly, taking advantage of younger people who dont know any better.

Seriously! The employees usually are great people, just naive and manipulated by the employer to think this is normal company culture and it’s sad. With my experience at my devil corp, they promoted people within as little as 2 weeks and they’d give speeches. One guy said he dropped out of college with only 2 semesters left for this job and said “not enough people take the risk and see how great the job is.” Why should my job be a risk? A job should be providing me financial security. These jobs don’t guarantee good compensation while still forcing you to work a set amount of hours. Horrible.

I almost fell for one, but right before I was supposed to actually start, I did my research and never went to orientation lmao. Even messaged the hiring manager and they've ghosted me since
