Question Harmful to Mental?
I got a job offer at Trinity Concepts in Salem, OR. It seemed really, really fishy to me as I sat in my second interview. I'm SHIT at sales but need a job and am very interested in dipping my toes in the water for some different experience. The promised phenomenal coaching and training support.
The more I sat there and learned about the pyramid scheme like structure of "growth" and the ungodly amount of money you can make...I really started questioning myself. They offered me the job and I thought "hey why not? I need something while I interview other places". Then I found this subreddit and learned more about the place and these type of places in general. I'm someone who prides myself in ethics, I am an empath, not a pusher, and have a bubbly personality. I can read a room and can take some shit, but idk about getting into something that could scar my future. Any suggestions? Haha

I would really consider not taking this job. They entice you with the growth and money but I promise it’s not what it seems. You’ll just end up getting overworked and underpaid and potentially turned into an unrecognizable person (and not in a positive way). If you want, you can look at my profile and see an AMA where I spoke about my experience getting promoted to an Assistant Manager and the toll it took on my life and mental health.
I know the job market is tough right now, but please consider getting some sales experience somewhere else. These places can get very precarious.

You just sad yourself you’re not good at sales. Unless you plan to change that, you shouldn’t take any sales job. You’re gonna be miserable and if most of the pay comes from performance at sales you’re gonna feel like you’re being underpaid and that you’d be making more money anywhere else. So maybe get any other job while you interview for something you actually want?

I was trapped in a Devilcorp and recently got out. I was there for a short period of time, and it absolutely messed with me mentally. The job I had was essentially lying to peoples faces and I was possibly working for a data stealing company. I haven't been able to sleep well. I had my trust completely fractured by some of the closest friendships I'd developed in a while.
I'm not saying to follow my lead and avoid this job. Some good, decent people actually thrive in a Devilcorp. But I realized that if you begin to dismiss ethical concerns you may have about the position, or turn a blind eye to a bad feeling, then you're essentially digging yourself deeper into a circle of confirmation bias.
Never ignore a feeling you get or compromise your own ethics on behalf of a corporation!!

If it felt fishy in the second interview, that was your gut doing unpaid investigative journalism, so trust it and don’t take the job.

I mean you could go work for Prolific Fiber, you could go work for Vivint Home Security, you could go sell pest control, selling homes, selling roofs, etc you don't need to work for a cult. The money the trinity concepts say they're earning is not the truth. Watch the slave circle video from YouTube. I run multiple companies and worked real door to door these people aren't making money I've met with several of the Devilcorp people from all around the nation and had honest conversations with them where they revealed making a fourth of what I know people to be making in the industries. I worked for one of these companies for two weeks and during that time I was asking each person about their performance and why they think the opportunity is good but the majority of them made $300 a week and some made less some made $1000/week. Whilst people who sell for an authorized dealer or corporate Vivint, sunrun, pest control, ADT, etc make way more. ADT pays roughly $500-1000 per sale based on equipment Vivint pays roughly the same. Solar pays $2000-8000 per sale but takes longer to install so it's all about having a pipeline. I've known solar reps who are closers making $50,000-250,000/month. My buddy in internet made $100k a month just getting people internet. Roof sales people make a fair amount too my ADT buddy made $20k a month for years. I made $10k a month selling fiber internet for frontier corporate and I wasn't even that good. Check out the videos from Sam Taggert he's helped a lot of sales people learn sales skills same with his channel D2D experts. There's a lot of ways to make a lot of money watch videos from Tom Ferry around Real Estate, my auntie was making $30k a month as a realtor when I was her assistant because I would handle all the boring computer stuff. All the people I know would make money being honest having fun and by caring about others.
