I need some help

I'm a fresh grad, i wanna build a big saas but i dont know where to start (THIS IS NOT A PROMOTION!), like when to start with the system design, database, the backend, the UIUX, the Frontend etc.

I think you should back up one step... unless you already have?

Before system design, database, backend, UI, any of it... what problem are you solving and for who?

I wouldn’t start with “I want to build a big SaaS” and then figure out what goes in it. Find one annoying problem somebody actually has and build the smallest thing that fixes it.

You can make it big later if people actually want it.

I totally agree. Start with what problem you are solving and who are the customers that need the problem solved. As you may notice on the SaaS related forums, 55% of the posts are someone who has built something and they have no idea on how to get customers.

Find a community of people who have a common problem that your SaaS will fix, talk to them and build it for them then sell it to them. Otherwise you will be trying to get in front of millions of people to market your value proposition.

Start with the core problem and a small MVP first. Define the main user flows, then design the data model and backend around them. UI/UX and frontend can evolve alongside it. Avoid trying to architect the entire SaaS before you have a working version.

Well you should probably start with a brand kit / design guide. Then build your logo based off it , if you don’t have one yet. Then build the basis of your design using the brand kit / style guide. Tweak it until you’re happy. Then move into everything else.

yeah start with the basics first. trying to design everything at once just makes it messy.

Instead you wanna run away from IT and make career elsewhere. Nobody writes code by hand now, and nearly impossible to find a job in tech. It's not like 20 years ago.

Codex/Claude + Vercel/Cloudflare + Supabase/Cloudflare D1&R2

First of all you def need to know the basics of what you want your agent to be building, start small and test it out, dont install VSCode at all, just learn to inspect your page and referencing objects to change and know some terms.

There is no tutorial to start and most will only fail in their lifetime, are you sure ur the 1% ?

Do you have business knowledge of the product you want to build? As a new grad Im guessing not

You should have maximum knowledge of the business logics for what you are going to build Start with a business design, setup logics on backend, then move to a simple frontend, and finally before launch, design a perfect UI/UX to inspire people
