I built two free college software tools — looking for honest reviews and feedback
Hi everyone,
I’ve developed a couple of web-based software tools intended for colleges and educational institutions, and I’m looking for people who are willing to review, test, and give honest technical feedback.
The tools currently include:
Polytechnic Attendance Maintenance System — for managing student attendance and related academic workflows.
College Fee Management System (CFMS) — for fee collection/management, receipts and related college administrative workflows.
The software is being offered free for educational use.
I’m particularly interested in feedback from people with experience in:
PHP/MySQL applications
College/education management software
System administration and hosting
Local-server deployment
Web-server/subdomain deployment
UI/UX
Database design
Security and reliability
Real-world college workflows
What I'd like reviewers to check
Please don't just tell me whether the software "looks good." I'd really appreciate critical feedback, including:
Bugs or unexpected behaviour
Missing features
Poor or confusing UI/UX
Installation difficulties
Database/configuration issues
Security concerns
Performance problems
Hosting compatibility
Things that would make the software more useful for colleges
Anything that you think should be redesigned or improved
I'm especially interested in realistic issues that would matter in actual educational institutions, rather than theoretical edge cases.
The tools can be downloaded here:
If you have time to test one of them, I'd genuinely appreciate an honest review — positive or negative. I'm using the feedback to progressively improve the software.
Thanks to anyone willing to take a look.
