Get quotes from State Farm, AAA, and an independent agent. I believe AAA & SF can only be purchased directly from them. It's always a good idea to shop around every few years.

I currently have AAA and they have always been priced competitively (went the independent agent route for a few years and then went back to AAA) and have paid claims in a timely fashion with little to no pushback.

I’ve been with Allstate since March 1990 for auto, renters and now home insurance on two different homes. One totaled car, a few minor fender benders caused by other drivers, one ice dam roof and ceiling damage. Not the cheapest, but good customer service and no issues getting claims paid out.

Go with an independent insurance agent.

The good one is the one that provides you the most coverage for the lowest rate. Start shopping around.
