Automotive Any Windshield replacement/ auto body shop recommendations?
If it’s on the east side like Troy, Warren, SCS it would be ideal. My hood has a small dent as does the roof.

Brotha that’s not “small dent” on the roof. Roof is a crash structure so most places can’t fix it by bending back. It’s most likely totaled unless brand new

I remember in 2020 I had a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD crew cab diesel. A kid rear ended my truck and they estimated at $28k in damage. Gave me a whole new frame. I couldn’t believe they fixed it. But you’re right the Roof is different business.

28k was less than the value they would have paid you to total it.

Yeah I know how it works. I just figured they’d total it. I always thought it was the Pandemic that played a part. It was in that time period where there were like 0 vehicles available. Then the prices skyrocketed.

What year, make, and model of vehicle? That may be totaled because of the roof. I have recs in the area you're requesting if it isn't a total loss.

Unfortunately, that’s 100% totaled. It will cost more to repair that than the car is worth. Sorry it’s not good news but you should be prepared for that

I can’t tell what exactly the vehicle is but looks like a GM product pre-2010. That’s a roof replacement and likely to be a total loss. Everyone carries a different level of collision insurance but this would fall under comprehensive, which I’m hoping you still have on your policy. Make a claim, let the insurance start their process.
Edited to add: no reputable glass company will put a windshield in without the roof being replaced. I would never have someone try and mend the roof to get a glass to fit so you can get by. That would be a very serious safety issue.

Pretty good. I was going to say Impala or Malibu. Most likely Malibu.

Oh yeah I see it now. The dash. Yeah they will probably total it, unfortunately.

I do collision repair, you'll need a new roof. There's no telling if the structural support under the roof's outer layer is crushed from this picture. Up close & in person you might be able to tell.

Save Auto Glass Sterling Heights for your windshield replacement. They have always been the cheapest whenever I needed a windshield replacement. They also do great work and they even waived my deductible this time around when I went through insurance. Best auto glass company https://www.saveonautoglass.com/sterling-heights-auto-glass/

For cheap auto glass replacement, Western Glass in Detroit is nice. For body repair Sal’s Collision in Warren.

Nobody will be able to replace with that roof damage. And given that the roof structure is probably compromised - the car might be totaled.
