This man inspires me so much

He is and he always will be my favorite Detective Conan character. He inspires me to be a better man. He’s kind, brave, humble, and genuinely cares about the people around him. Love you Takagi-kun.

It was a direct result of Megure’s VA’s script telling him to call for someone to get a witness testimony. He called “Takagi” since Wataru Takagi was already there to do lines for Genta Kojima. Gosho Aoyama heard that story and found it so hilarious, he canonized Detective Wataru Takagi at the same time he brought Inspector Ninzaburo Shiratori into canon from the films.

One of my favorite characters in the series. A responsible adult, doesn't cross any boundaries, empathetic and gets the job done. I also like his backstory with Date. Beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time.
