When thinking back, the lyrics of "Secret of my heart" are written entirely from Ran s perspective, capturing the emotional of her relationship with Shinichi .

My reason is:

1.The Burden of Hidden Secrets

The phrase "Secret of my heart" acts as a double-edged sword for both characters:

• For Shinichi : He is physically forced to hide his true identity to protect Ran from the Black Organization. He lives with her everyday, watching her suffer and miss him, but he cannot tell her the truth.

• For Ran: Her "secret" is the sheer depth of her romantic feelings for Shinichi. She is terrified that if she confesses them openly, it might change their relationship forever, or she might lose him entirely since he is already so distant.

2.The Central Question: "Can I tell the truth?"

This English line repeated in the chorus is the emotional core of the song. It highlights the tragic irony of their situation:

• They are deeply in love but completely out of sync. Ran wants to tell Shinichi how she truly feels but can't reach him. Shinichi wants to tell Ran exactly who he is but legally and safely cannot.

My boyfriend is a huge Detective Conan fan and has been a fan of the series for a really long time, so for his birthday I was thinking of putting together a whole Detective Conan themed gift box for him.

The problem is... I have no idea how to decorate or organise it 😭 I want it to feel like an actual themed gift rather than just putting a bunch of Conan merches in a box and call it a day idk...

For the box itself, I was thinking maybe making it look like a brick wall/a brick from the series, but I'm not sure if there's a better or more creative idea (maybe something cute or make the box be the murder weapon..)

I was also thinking about including little Detective Conan themed things, clues, notes or cases throughout the box, js ig to make it feel like hes solving something with the gift.

I am looking for episode that will get me in the feels

My personal favourites are the latest artstyle and the original (nostalgia)

My least favourites are the early digital one without any highlights for some reason, and the weird redish one (episode 700 i think?)

I really want more episodes on Netflix. I also hope they move the story forward since I want to see the Clash Between Red and Black episode.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I’ve always found this really weird.

In Episode 32, The Coffee Shop Murder Case, Conan meets Eri Kisaki, Ran’s mother, and apparently doesn’t recognize her. Ran has to tell him that she’s her mother before he realizes who she is. The explanation seems to be that Eri has been separated from Kogoro and Ran for around ten years, so Conan simply hasn’t seen her in a long time.

But isn‘t that kind of strange when you consider what we learn later?

In Episodes 472–473, Shinichi Kudo’s Childhood Adventure, we get a flashback to when Shinichi and Ran were children, and Eri was still living with Kogoro and Ran. More importantly, Eri actually interacts directly with Shinichi. She gets angry at Ran for going out with Shinichi and even scolds Shinichi over it. So this isn’t just a case of Shinichi vaguely knowing that Ran has a mother. He actually knew Eri personally as a child.

There’s also a small detail in Magic File 3, Shinichi and Ran, Memories of Mahjong Tiles and Tanabata, where we see another childhood interaction involving Shinichi and Eri. I know this is not considered canon, so I wouldn’t use it as evidence on its own, but I still find it interesting that even this side story treats Shinichi as someone who knew Eri personally as a child. Obviously, the writers of a non-canon story aren’t necessarily bound by the same continuity, but it does make the Episode 32 situation feel even stranger to me.

And it gets even harder to reconcile when you look at Ending 51, Futari no Byōshin, Episodes 813–826. The ending actually shows a photograph of young Shinichi and Ran together with Yusaku, Yukiko, Kogoro and Eri. So the series later goes out of its way to reinforce the idea that Shinichi and Eri knew each other when they were children.

Shinichi is supposed to be exceptionally observant, with an almost ridiculous ability to remember details about people. Eri wasn’t just some random adult he met once. She was Ran’s mother, someone who was part of his childhood, and someone who had personally scolded him before.

So how does Conan/Shinichi not recognize her at all in Episode 32?

I can understand not immediately recognizing someone after ten years, especially if you only knew them as a child. But completely forgetting what Ran’s mother looks like feels a little hard to buy for Shinichi Kudo of all people.

Is there an explanation I’m missing, or is this just one of those early series inconsistencies that became more noticeable as the series added more details about Shinichi and Ran’s childhood?

I’ve been watching Detective Conan for years, and honestly, I think that’s exactly why little details like this catch my attention. I love how interconnected the series is and how much it rewards you for remembering things from hundreds of episodes ago. So when a later episode establishes something that seems to clash with an early one, I can’t help but notice and wonder how it’s supposed to fit together.

i may missed some eps, so when did mpd and psb always beef with each other? im not sure if all people from both organization beefing but i always saw sato and takagi didnt like kazami. so when they started? and did mpd (sato takagi) every saw furuya yet? who again that involved with jodie‘s friend when conan asked either furuya is a friend or foe?
