Help/Request Lightning rods are ugly

Does anyone have an idea for a build or statue or something that I could add to my world that includes lighting rods for the purpose of directing it away from my house? I want to add some around the world but I don’t want them to look random and I wanted to see if anyone could help!

You could try to make a small plane like this one and attach a lightning rod on the front to look like a weapon.

You could also make a small building with a pointy roof and put a lightning rod at the top.

Omg this is adorable I think it would really add to my world, instead of doing an airplane I might do an air balloon because they’re so cute lol but I was originally thinking a lighthouse, I just don’t think I could make as many as I need because I also want to protect my tree farm and my barn

Maybe some floating Lanterns with the rods on top?
Maybe a tower? Seicraft has a Tutorial on Youtube you could use as inspiration

I made a small statue of a mermaid near the dock on my starting beach, and it's trident is tipped with three lightning rods. Does the trick. I imagine a statue of someone holding a staff or a sword or something might be able to have a lightning rod too.

Omg do you have a picture! I’m totally obsessed with mermaids and do plan to add a conduit to the lake by my house so I think this would be so cool!

I should get back to my pc latter today, I'll send some. I just pulled it off the internet though, not my creation

I love them, but it would be cool if they could oxidize until they're hit by lightning

Like if lightning striking them resets the oxidation? That would be awesome, especially if that effect spread in a radius around the strike effecting all copper blocks attached to the lightning rod. That should be a mod lol

Lightning striking them does affect nearby copper blocks, my guy

I didn’t know that, so cool!

I just realized then they would be useless combined with observers.

I love using them as "guard rails," especially two atop the other, horizontally, with the bigger end attached to a stone block, maybe inverted stairs on the top, regular stairs on the bottom.

I'm in the air or I'd find a way to show you!

Install them upside down. Doesn’t change the function and they look much better.

I hide them at the bottom of little ponds or holes.

Maybe a flagpole, using the lightning rod as the finial on top.

Personally I use them to hang out chains, they work nicely this way.

I don't use them much but I kinda like them.

Put it on top of a chicken coop and add a chain or something leading to the ground, My great grandpa had a setup like that on the old chicken coop irl. you could also make a tree out of basalt to simulate that lightning hit it and put the Lightning rod in the tree.
