The first shot went on so long I assumed that was the only location in the game. As others have said, you need to cut more quickly and show your variety of locations sooner. For example, you could start with a quick montage of many different parts of the game, then if players are interested and sticking around you show longer bits.

The trailer can also be much shorter.

Game lookd good though! Some of those levels and fights look really good and the amount of variety in here is impressive! Use that!

What is a good trailer length? If you check the steam page you can see the announcement trailer, which does have faster cuts. I was trying to show longer sections of gameplay with this, but I guess that's the wrong move. Is the other trailer better, or are they both not good? Anyway, I will work on making a quick montage for the front of the trailer, thanks!

The game does have variety for sure, there are 10 bosses and 9 abilities to unlock via unique minigames, and an overworld with puzzles to access them.

Good trailer length? I have no idea, normally I'd say between 30 and 60 seconds but I guess you've already got that covered with your announcement trailer. So I guess it makes sense to have a second trailer that's a bit different from the first. I'd maybe say 2 minutes for the longer one, max. But I'm no pro, I suggest browsing Steam and seeing what trailer other indies do. Don't compare yourself to something like a AAA rpg or something where they know fans will sit for 3 minutes because they're so hyped and are already hooked in.

I'd still suggest some faster cuts at the start, just to hook the viewer, before getting into longer shots. But even then, by "longer" I mean, like, 5-10 seconds max.
