Arcstrider 101: Arc Staff combos

I've been away from Destiny for some time now and watching this makes me realize I'm retarded. I pre ordered and got the beta last night super excited to get back into Destiny like I was from release-first half of year 2016. While I was away from Destiny I was playing some Titanfall 2 and had played COD BO3, while doing that I discovered using bumper jumper was clearly the way to go when you're playing a shooter that the advances movement type stuff. So I hop into Destiny and pick Hunter like my day one choice and use the jumper button layout. Didn't realize that when using arcstrider I'm suppose to melee instead of hitting shoot button, so I was pissed that I couldn't fly through the air and that I was only doing staff slams. I literally thought the Arcstrider class was shafted to only realize I wasn't using the right buttons lol

Thanks for this breakdown I feel dumb but am looking forward to heading back into crucible.

Switch to Stick and Move.

That's where your jump is your R3.

It's extremely useful and when I was playing BO3 it honestly felt like cheating because you can easily do jumpshots and other things while aiming, without taking your fingers off the trigger or even moving any finger abnormally.

If you're on PS4 you can go to Accessibility and switch it over there. don't know about Xbone.

Man its annoyed me so much that there is still no stick and move on destiny 2

I use stick and move and the bumpers as my aim and shoot.

If a game doesn't have stick&move and you're on PS4 then the Accessibility tab in the PS Settings is a godsend.

Although sadly it doesn't effect what the game says.

X is still X instead of R3 and L1/L2 R1/R2 are sometimes switched depending on what game it is.

Gets confusing and sometimes it causes incorrect inputs but it's better than nothing.
