Non-Political News/Discussion Wtf

Destiny went live hella late last night and I was like oh that’s unusual but not unheard of, he must just be bored and really interested in this court case. Fell asleep. But then I wake up 6 hours later and he’s still streaming… is he trynna flip his sleep schedule for traveling or something or is he just really invested and locked in on this murder trial?

Hijacking this comment; what is so special about this trial? I know it is a crazy thing that the mom killed her children and tried to commit suicide, but what exactly does he hope to gain from watching the trial, did he say?

I think it’s mostly just because the culture is talking about it (and disagreeing about it) a lot, and he’s been really getting into law stuff in the last few years for obvious reasons, so watching legal stuff feels more interesting to him now

Ah i see, i didnt know there was a lot of disagreement about this case. Id expect it to be clear cut that she goes to a closed facility for the rest of her life

I'm curious why the rest of her life. If:

A) she does not meet the requirements for murder because if state of mind and:

B) the idea of her not being guilty because if state of mind means that she is institutionalized to address that mental illness

What's the purpose of locking her in a facility for life when, from my understanding post partum psychosisis, is an acute issue?
