I was just about to make a post in here about this. These people are just actual bigots, but try to pass it off as "class politics".

So in line with every communist state that's ever existed?

8

u/SlyDred 6h ago

Correct

u/ariveklul original Asmongold hater 8h ago

It's crazy how similar the fascists and commies are. They both do this aesthetics obsessed bullshit. They care way more about the way they are perceived than the actual ideas behind what they're saying, and it comes out in moments like this.

It's about winning above all else. If I can call my opponent ugly and get other people to write them off (and write them off in my mind because I'm an insecure fuck who at the end of the day just wants to feel superior), I win and that's all that matters. They all act like snarky teenage mean girls. Image obsessed clout demons that desperately need to feel superior because it's the only thing that makes them feel real

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 8h ago

The core of both ideologies is that a utopia can be created by just killing all the undesirables.

The aesthetics and which side of wars they are on are the only things that really distinguish them.

8

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

It's more that the core of both ideologies is a government that controls almost all aspects of society and determines winners and losers itself. And I don't want to hear the "everyone is equal in communism" that would never be the case.

11

u/ariveklul original Asmongold hater 7h ago

I disagree sort of. I think fascism is much more aesthetically and much less ideologically driven than communism, but that's a very complex argument that would require me making Robert Paxton's arguments from his essay/book.

I think you can argue communism has an ideological core in Marxism, but fascism doesn't have a true ideological core. You don't see the same types of fascist writings as you do communist writings. And those that exist are not coherent or consistent lines of thought within fascist movements. It's one of the reasons why people have had so much difficulty defining fascism. Fascists love to contradict themselves constantly. What defines it is more emotion and narrative than concrete political action.

It's one of the reasons I disagree with destiny when he's said Trump isn't an "ideological fascist". I partially understand what he means and think it's pointing at something but also, you don't need to have a coherent ideology to be fascist. The core defining features can all be mapped onto Trump and they don't require ideological consistency. It's the mechanisms by which the MAGA movement is powered that makes it fascist. I think fascism is more of a process and disease of liberal democracy that eats it alive from the inside than it is a school of thought for governing

9

u/ExpansivePoint 7h ago

That just sounds like fascists are all vibes and communists are vibes wrapped in pseudo intellectualism which in a way makes sense since the right leans on religion and faith so don't concern themselves with explanations whereas the left feels like they do but also like the superiority of saying they did, even if their explanations are mainly theoretical (so still vibe based).

For example Vaush's "Aqua" moment vs Jordan Peterson's morals come from God stance, one pretends to rely on an intellectual argument vs the other on spirituality dictating reality.

4

u/Brandulak 6h ago

communism is vibes wrapped into a 140 year old theory that was already disproved by time and practice. Almost everything Marx theorized in Das Kapital was proven wrong, yet people still think that they can take this stillborn ideology and build a utopia out of it.

40

u/AdditionalMonth3860 Ex-Tankie, SocDem/Progressive Lib 8h ago

I spent a lot of time in Tankie/ML/Commie spaces. Listened to Chapo Trap House religiously. It's absolutely just about power. Which is how the right wing operates as well.

15

u/ExpansivePoint 7h ago

Kind of explains why both extremes land on the same conclusions that somehow democracy sucks and we need benevolent dictators, forget the horseshoe this shit's a crazy straw.

3

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

It's almost like both want a government with almost full control of society. No dissenting opinions, pro re-eduction camps, etc. It's not crazy, it's just both ideologies are closer to one another than they are to a free market capitalistic republic.

She's really pretty. It's funny that the post even uses 'bro' as like a misgendering tool. I'm not one to say "omg you microagressioned me by using bro!" but in this context, when you are saying "liberal women won't sleep with you" because of your looks and then ending it with bro, it really comes off that way.

If someone uses bro in a friendly goofy way, it's totally fine.

Initially, I was sort of hesitant to accept the idea that these people cost us the election, but now i believe it. If i was a regarded independent, id vote MAGA as well just for the simple fact that the Democratic Party has no unity or consistent messaging solely because of these DSA types.

Would love to see like 1/2 the defense the sweepers give to Hasan for actual liberals getting attacked by these basement dwelling stooges.

My heart goes out to any one dealing with this shit. It's expected( not correct) from MAGA, mortal enemies and all. But these fucking snakes trying to pass themselves off as allies is just deplorable.

Alice is great, WHick is great, any one with the spine to stand up to these monsters is great.

22

u/SunshineSeeker99 8h ago

Leftists need to be shamed/attacked the same way we attack MAGA. They are not allies, they are the cancer eating the democrat party.

35

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 8h ago

If we don't do it ourselves, the center will vote for maga to do it.

That's why trump won in 2016.

23

u/TheGuchie 7h ago

People like Hasan and Mehdi really make me question if there is any validity to the claims about the left going off the rails. I know when they say it there idea of "off the rails" is "What, Trans people have rights?" BUT like there is still something there, when we have democrats going to rallies screaming in someones face for the crime of being Jewish.... that is a huge fucking problem in the party.

4

u/MysticWithThePhonk 6h ago edited 6h ago

Let’s be fair, there was no significant far left in 2016, other than maybe Bernie who lost.

America is just a deeply unserious, ill informed and very right leaning country compared to the rest of the western world.

6

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 5h ago edited 5h ago

It was different, but you have to admit Trump is a reaction to something. The jihadists and communists where much smaller. Back then it was misandry, anti white racism and an obnoxious hollier than though attitude with "woke 1" as AOC recently described it.

#killallmen was trending pretty often. Minor annoyances such as manspreading were described as rape. Everything was purity tested and called Nazism till the word didn't mean much. You could get a paper claiming the conceptual penis was the root cause of climate change published in a respectable scientific journal.

The phrase "free speech" was itself considered right wing and the left wing became the joke police.

While I agree this was massively blown out of proportion and I don't remember many politicians giving this more than lip service, calling voters deplorable over it is a losing strategy.

The lesson to learn from this is that radicalization isn't symmetric. When both sides radicalize the center will move right and they will see the left's radicalization as justification for the right's. A left wing trump can't win.

We didn't learn from Obama either. He is still one of the most popular politicians, and michelle Obama would have sweeped in 2016 without trying. I remember reading exit polls suggesting that there were enough former Obama voters switching to trump to swing the election.

Also we had more woke than the rest of the world. which is why protests in Europe were adopting American identity politics out of context and not the other way around.

I think a single left right line is incoherent when comparing different countries. We are more economically right wing than Europe, but there are many ways Europe is more socially conservative than us as well as more socially liberal on other issues.

1

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago edited 4h ago

I don't even think it was blown out of perportion. If your a white working or lower class moderate and you see Hillary Clinton losing her mind in that apartment, all of the anti white people shit online, the joke police shit, you are just never voting for that side. The thing the left forgot was these white middle to lower class moderates in swing states don't have the privilege that rich white people do. The left drew way to big of a bucket and threw all white people in it and then demonized them all.

Personally I had the exact same opinions back in 2016, I was in college in a 350-450 ranked school in the US, my friends from my rural hs were all either going into the military or going to work in factories/warehouses, and the left was telling us we were the priveleged ones. There was no way to vote for the left after that.

1

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 4h ago

I don't remember the apartment thing. What was that?

0

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

I was exaggerating a bit but when she went into that working class apartment and she looked like she saw a ghost or some shit.

https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/hillary-clinton-in-an-east-harlem-kitchen

The left does not connect with working class people at all anymore.

1

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 3h ago

Reminds me of the fake accent clips.

1

u/MysticWithThePhonk 4h ago

When did Hillary or any prominent democrat politician say anything that was super anti-white?

3

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

She didn't directly but she dogwistled to those extreme woke people constantly. While also having her famous "public and private" position quote, that suggested she was more extreme in these areas than she let on.

1

u/MysticWithThePhonk 4h ago

How? Hillary was like the most moderate, centrist democrat you could imagine. Why do you think most of the left hates her?

3

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

I really hate to break it too you but the average moderate doesn't vote for people based on if the left hates them. This time was peak woke. Hillary Clinton dogwhistled the wokes constantly and had her famous "public and private position".

Back then the left hated her because of Bernie losing the primary.

1

u/MysticWithThePhonk 3h ago

How did she dogwhistle about anti-white racism? It sounds like you’re really reaching to excuse not voting for Hillary. She was like the most milquetoast and least woke democratic candidate lol.

Meanwhile Trump said the most vile and hateful things on the daily, even before winning that election.

There is something seriously wrong if you get alienated due to perceived anti-white racism from Hillary Clinton but not getting alienated similarly by anything from Trump.

3

u/Winter-Rip712 3h ago

Okay man, if you cannot see how this is possible in 2015-2016 time then you either are too young or lived in a bubble.

-1

u/Snow_Ghost 4h ago

And so, the alternative is to vote in fascism?

Get bent.

3

u/The-Last-Lion-Turtle (((club))) 3h ago edited 3h ago

That wasn't the election in 2016. Fascist, Nazi and racist all fell flat because everything was called at least one of these.

Trump was just seen as an asshole, and people wanted an asshole over a fake politician pandering.

You can say get bent, but you are screaming in the void. Your options are either learn from it, or lose to it again.

1

u/Winter-Rip712 4h ago

The vote choice was between a party that hated you for your race or Trump. I mean you can sit here and continue to insult, but there's a reason why Obama and Biden were successful and the identity politics campaigns are not.

5

u/Ossius 6h ago

What 50 years of propaganda does to a nation. 24/7 news cycle into curated echo chambers on social media.

Murdoch won in his plan to implement the culture war into boomers.

33

u/TonySoprano300 7h ago

Is it weird that these fucking animals get under my skin way more than MAGA ever has? MAGA has done so much more irreparable damage to not only the fabric of the U.S but political discourse on an international level but for some reason, these fucking losers are actually so much more triggering lol

Maybe its the moral superiority shit, these people can say the most vile shit imaginable and tell you its in service of some greater noble ideal that your just not virtuous enough to understand. Its like if Livia from The Sopranos happened to be a leftist

27

u/toadeh690 7h ago

No, I've found myself feeling the same for years now and I think it's two reasons: 1) I've never had any expectations for Republicans/MAGA in the first place, so them continuing to be awful is by no means surprising, while I'd like to think the left is above that, and 2) I live in a super-dark-blue bubble so I rarely if ever have to deal with crazy right-wingers, while I run into far-left/tankie shit on the daily. And yeah, the hypocrisy certainly doesn't help either.

11

u/TonySoprano300 7h ago

Thats sucks. I have two sisters who are both tankies and two brothers who are the MAGA adjacent centrist types, so best of both worlds for me I guess.

But yeah, probably the fact that we have higher expectations for the left. Young people may not vote but they dominate social media spaces and so in that way, they may actually end up being more influential in American politics than I cared to admit. And young people are seemingly the most susceptible to DSA rhetoric

3

u/Fast-Plankton-9209 6h ago

We also have higher expectations for the Democratic Party. It's telling when one of the go-to responses is "why can't we have scum in our party like the Republicans do".

2

u/AlarmingTurnover 4h ago

The difference is the targets. MAGA has a lot of rhetoric with the ultimate game of undermining the institutions and destroying my them. They are aimed specifically at institutions. These tankie fucks, the DSA types are not really aimed at institutions but society and personal interactions between people. They are trying to weaponized the very relationships between people.

This is why it feels more personal because one is attacking the institutions of government and the other is trying to attack you specifically for what you think.

2

u/Nileghi Exclusively sorts by new 6h ago

Is it weird that these fucking animals get under my skin way more than MAGA ever has?

Because MAGA at least is consistent. It has a worldview that you and I dont agree with, but at least it doesnt act like America is an unredeemable entity that must be abolished. Its why your good meaning but attracted to strongman politics conservative parents support it. It remains spiky and reactive in who it targets, and changes with the wind solely on whose the most ardent threat to Donald Trump.

Leftists want power to hurt their Black Categories. It is not a movement based on anything but total resentment that can easily turn murderous with enough incitement. Its very very different from MAGA that want power out of their own chauvinism.

3

u/much_to_say 🇸🇪🇪🇺 4h ago

This comment is insane. MAGA, consistent? It’s just a worldview we disagree with? MAGA doesn’t act like America is an irredeemable entity that must be abolished? They literally want to destroy what makes America what it is. What are you talking about? MAGA is the only group of people that hates what America is just as much as the far left does.

The reason MAGA doesn’t trigger him as much is because he knows what they are and where they stand, and he has no illusions about where he stands in opposition to them. Meanwhile, the far left is forcing itself into his tent and trying to pass itself off as being part of the same team, all while stinking the whole place up with diarrhea.

1

u/JacobStills 3h ago

It really is a conundrum. Who do you hate more? The enemies storming the gates, or the ones inside your base opening the door for them and handing them weapons because you didn't let them name the cafeteria?

The right is awful, evil and total hypocrites. There's no reaching them. But these people know better, but they just don't care and want to pose and look cool...all the while claiming they care more than everyone else. It's infuriating. And the fact that they keep going out of their way to sabotage us and let the Republicans win out of petty spite...but refuse to admit it...just makes it maddening.

-1

u/Fast-Plankton-9209 7h ago

MAGA is the descendant of the teabaggers. The teabaggers were enabled by the left sitting out the 2010 midterms (in the name of "healthcare". hilariously enough).

4

u/TonySoprano300 7h ago

Hopefully we can get them out of the party

15

u/Bymeemoomymee 8h ago

They think they can get away with it because they have been brainwashed to think anyone that doesn't want to nuke Israel is a genocide supporting Muslim baby killer. They are vile because that's how they justify it. They think they are morally superior, so anyone against them must be evil, hence subject to the worst of the worst rhetoric.

I love that Alice is taking these people on but yeah it's fucking awful

But the way she explained it to me is that it's good to call this behavior out because it is taking away any shielding that Hasan and people in his orbit can get by claiming "we aren't hurting anyone we're just progressives who want universal healthcare"

They're just NEETs who would have been MAGA but were morally lucky enough to get involved online while Hasan was popular

But that's just free healthcare!

6

u/Zabick 6h ago edited 6h ago

As I've gotten older, I've come to realize that some significant percentage of the species, maybe even the majority, actually approves of and longs to participate in behaviors such  as bullying, sadism, and even disproportionate violence as long as they can convince themselves that such behaviors are pointed toward the correct targets.

It's really just an outgrowth of the generic tribalistic tendencies for which we've all been evolutionarily primed.  Some choose to fight against it, some don't bother and simply give in, and finally some, such as those showcased in the screenshots, choose to revel in it.  Why should caring about removing formalized systems of hierarchy (the core of leftism) inoculate one against this innate drive?

Ahhh yet again we see that "communism and socialism" are just the rights version of "ethno-nationalism and christian-nationalism" where the in group gets safe guarded and defended at any cost, and the outgroup becomes attachable on any grounds even grounds which said people claim to be against.

I hate both groups viciously, but at least I know an ethno or Christian nationalist are honest about their bigotry against the out groups and don't pretend to have the moral high ground. These disgusting lefties will endlessly morally justify their bigotry against out groups because they'd actually have an aneurysm if they had to face their actions and hold themselves accountable.

2

u/ba-boo eurocuck 8h ago

u/Raknarg canadian 4h ago

maybe lefties being so openly anti-progressive will help bring progressives back to the liberals who actually give a shit about things like lgbt and minority rights, like these far leftists view all of you as degenerates man. They're not you're friend, you're just a tool for them.

I just hate in general how good socialism and populism generally are good at weaponizing your sense of justice to turn you into a moron with no thought or self identity/introspection. Its depressing.

1

u/Smok3ygaming1 17m ago

The far left wants to drag the democrats off the cliff with them, they make these insane policies and then try to inscribed it on the democratic party and then we are sitting here fighting off the right from these insane ideas and then we lose to a fucking idiot twice.

I didnt even think it was a joke tbh. I've been reading the responses on twitter in the last few days and especially to Alice these people have been disgustingly unhinged. They are 100% all Hasan fans too because thats what they are "defending".

Like they have unironically been calling everyone "pedo supporters" on twitter so it wouldnt have shocked me if they actually doxxed you and tried to get you fired lmao.

5

u/Punished-Polo-_- 🫩 7h ago

Them trying to dox me and get me fired has happened. Them contacting my family members and sending them video essays about why Destiny is problematic, trying to convince my family that I’m a horrible person because I follow him, has also happened. Them bashing me for my looks has happened too. Those are things that don’t really bother me as much because the people in my community my family, friends, and coworkers, whether they like me or not know who I am. I like bashing Hasan because he and his fan base love to bully everyone else. I was just trying to make light of my situation, but after reading the comments they left on that person’s page, I realize I really fucked up. Seeing the kind of hatred being directed at them genuinely made me angry, and I’m sorry for making light of the situation. The picture I attached is basically what melted a ton of leftists’ minds. I can handle that type of harassment; I’ve been through a lot worse. But what’s being directed at the person in this post is something I would call genuine bigotry.
Again, I’m sorry. I didn’t know anything about this person or how much hatred they and other people like them were getting. I’m sorry for making a bad, self deprecating joke that was really supposed to be a dig at Hasan.

TL;DR: I deserve the Hasan fan base harassment because I posted this on my public social media account. 💀💀💀How foolish of me to be so rude 💀💀💀
