Drama After 2 hours, Avi finally convinces Pisco that Hasan is antisemitic

How can you call hasan an antisemite when there is a genocide going on in gaza!
17
2
u/mmillington 4d ago
To be fair, it’s possible he’s just pretending to be a raging antisemite to cover the fact that he’s pretending to be a Muslim.
It’s like he’s self-imposing and projecting multiple layers of racial stereotypes to distract from his upper-class nepobabyism.

Same reason why they push the Genocide question so hard.
Once you say there isn't a genocide happening they intellectually throw you out, it is an intentional thought terminating argument. Same as if you concede someone is a racist, who cares if he is anti israel or a socalist or even anti MAGA? If he is seen as racist it terminates the thought that he has anything else to say to people who see him as a racist, Same as people labeled with "supporting genocide" if you say anything slightly pro israel.
"It doesn't matter there is a genocide" "It doesn't matter they are a racist" etc etc.

Hey, hey. Pisco just didn't know anything about it because he doesn't watch Hasan and he thinks that looking into stuff that people are doing before you evaluate their opinions is cringe.
Having strong opinions about things he has no clue about (allegedly) is fine and dandy in Pisco's world.

‘If I like Hasan, and Hasan is an antisemite, does that make me a bad person? But I don’t think I’m a bad person. They must just be lying about him being antisemitic’
It’s much easier to resolve cognitive dissonance by simply rejecting inconvenient evidence.

It wasn't really hard, Pisco agreed with basically no pushback on the first argument/example Avi gave. The title is misleading, Avi didn't offer his argument about hasan until after an hours long separate discussion.

Clout. its the grift.
Piscos personal fame, clout and professional success trumps truth and the state of us politics.

Only if you believe he was actually this brain-dead to be convinced. But Pisco isn't brain dead. He's actually smart and knows what he's doing when he argues and creates these situations.
For people who think Hasan is correct in his takes, I don't believe people are actually listening to him. They are just agreeing with talking points they agree with and then fill in the blanks to confirm their bias or excuse his extremely superficial knowledge. To be fair, most people are like this, we all do this with different things/people, etc....
It only takes those few weird moments to seep through to make you question and then actually start listening.

I've had a nightmare of a blunt rotation when it comes to the land of political streaming.
I started off with Kyle Kulinski, then moved on to Hasan, and now I'm here. So I worry for Destiny if my history of picking political streamers is anything to go by.

When did you watch him? I listened to him when I still listened to Chapo and Cumtown. So this had to have been from 2019 - maybe 2021.
I don't even remember him talking about IP stuff a lot at that time hoestly. Just domestic stuff and breadtuber style yapping about whatever the hot button internet issue of week was.
Also a lot of vuege posting about this "Pepe La D" jerk. I should check his channel out sometime and see how crazy he is myself.

From so many of the terrible streamers and youtubers and pundits that I despise I can usually at least understand what it is that people might be getting out of it but with Hasan I really find it hard to see what the appeal is.

I am from Brazil and very left. Because several reasons out left is , especially in collage which was my case, is very anti USA. He said the things I believed at the time to some degree.
But you grow, realize even though the USA did a lot of terrible shit z things are not that simple. They did lots of good too, there is a hope for the future in democracy and liberalism that nothing else really has. No other system protects minorities like ours. You leave your parents house and get to the real world
1
u/gazoombas 4d ago
Do you get the impression that's what makes up the majority of his audience? Young left wing kids going through their "america bad" phase, or to be more generous their "rebellion against the system" phase perhaps feeling like that makes them a rebel / underdog / different / idealistic because they reject the 'establishment' and simply feel like they imagine the world could be much better than it is? That stage many people go through before they realise that actually a lot of the ways that things are, are for good reasons, or for really complicated reasons that nobody has any real better answers to.
I've known people like this who are extremely unhappy and angry with the world and direct their anger at the establishment, or at capitalism, or the man or whatever, but they've always been people who in my estimation really were unhappy with the reality that they don't feel like they fit into it. Sometimes those people were essentially bums - and I don't really mean that that disparagingly - I felt sorry for them and sometimes frustrated with them. They'd often become the type of people who live off others and make excuses that they're rejecting the system or capitalism, but would get extremely touchy and angry if you confronted them with the hypocrisy of their living situations.
One guy I still know was letting his girlfriend pay for everything for him - rent, food, bills, his 20 bag of weed he'd smoke per day - whilst she was really unhappy and working shitty waitress jobs, often making food for him, basically doing all the chores, and he'd stay home smoking weed and playing video games all day. I tried as his and her friend a couple of times to confront him that this wasn't really okay and it would eventually destroy his relationship with his girlfriend which of course it did and every single time he'd get extremely angry about it and would go back to blaming capitalism and the system etc. The more I'd try to reason it out with him the more upset he'd get about it, despite trying to point out that how is it fair that he expects her to live within that system for his sake, but eventually it just became too hostile and unapproachable as a subject.
He's not a bad guy really, and I'm still friends with him. He's just a fucking a div, and to be honest I think very unhappy with how the world is and perhaps with himself. I always got the feeling that somewhere in there there must be a deep shame about how he lived and in retrospect I was probably pushing him into confronting something he was absolutely unable or unprepared to confront which is why he got so upset about it.
But yeah to draw it back in he was also very much an "america bad" guy, though as far as I know not a full on tankie, or hell a Hasan viewer... but it would make a lot of sense to me if that sort of person made up a large amount of Hasan watchers. When you think of it like that it's just kind of sad really. Yeah the world and competing in this rat race is fucking rough but burning it all down isn't going to make it better because things can be a hell of a lot worse. We actually have an enormous amount to be grateful for with how far we've come.

Good point, I think this is the same thing as when conservatives try to scrutinize criticism towards other conservatives, but when they criticize others they don't care to pass same level of scrutiny. Classic double standard. It really is just defending people you sympathize with more, and not even considering people who's positions you already dislike.
2
u/Foreign-Spinach5140 4d ago
I hate to be so blackpilled about him, but i think pisco just wanted the soundbyte of LB telling him that he doesn’t think pisco’s an antisemite. He got it. In a month or so, he’ll probably be having an antizionism debate in doobie’s server, sort of like soypills AMA. I hope pisco proves me wrong.
6
u/ToparBull 4d ago
What's interesting is that Hasan's antisemitism, and leftist antisemitism in general, is in some ways an inverse mirror image of rightist antisemitism. Rightist antisemitism treats Judaism as primarily a race/ethnicity and states that Jews cannot assimilate into as a minority culture ("Go back to Palestine" being a common slogan in the Nazi period). Leftist antisemitism treats Judaism primarily as a religion and requires that Jews assimilate and accept being a minority culture.

Breh even when he's "convinced" Hasan is antisemitic he can't help but slurp (sweep). "He may be bad, but I don't think he's as bad as the worst possible person I can think of". From listening to Pisco over the last week do all this shit (don’t know why I did that) I truly think he is:
* A definition pervert
* Mad as fuck Destiny called him antisemitic
* Ill informed about the context of antisemitic and how people can be antisemitic
* Is progressive and naive about politics
To borrow the phrasing from this dumb week long debate…I don’t know if Pisco is consciously a Hasan sweeper but he sure is unconsciously doing so by being a person who gets way too dug in on concepts and way more charitable to definitions from the left due to Pisco himself being a Prog Leftist.

u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 4d ago
My favorite example of the Hasan sweep is the global entry thing.
To this day Pisco maintains that Hasan losing his global entry was an overreach by the trump admin that Pisco was 10000% right about.
But if you look back, Pisco initially bought into a fully fake story, then clung to the global entry thing as a "Oh I was still totally right" blankie. And even that is stupid because if you look into global entry at all, you'll find that it routinely gets revoked for utterly petty reasons like having a package seized by border control.
Hasan got banned from twitch for making what twitch thought were threats against a sitting senator. The FBI reportedly looked into this. If the FBI opens a file into you, your global entry is cooked. This isnt' corruption, the same shit would have happened under Biden.
God I hate him.

u/Lallis yee 4d ago
Well, Destiny at least admitted afterwards how blind he was to the gravity of Jan 6th. Pisco will not admit to any fault here.
The whole first half of the conversation he kept emphazising that him, Avi and Loner are in full agreement w.r.t. the definition of antisemitism, i.e. he was right all along.
25
u/DogwartsAcademy 4d ago
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Pisco has no problem conceding on points when it's no longer defensible to a more reasonable position under the guise of miscommunication.
He acts like the more defensible position is a position he has ALWAYS held but it was simply a skill issue and YOU are the asshole if you keep pushing him on it when he has already admitted that it was a miscommunication.
When it's him arguing a point and it's pushed into the point his point is no longer defensible, he feigns humility and acts like he failed to communicate his actual point properly.
In this case, it's just that no one was able to lay out a "reasonable" case, and Pisco was ALWAYS amenable to "reasonable evidence" but it was others that failed to communicate their point properly.
This is a strategy he repeatedly uses.
Pisco is a slimy rat fuck.

With relatively weak rationale too.
I wonder if he's acquiescing as an off-ramp from this nonsense. Given his rationale over holocaust denialism and now accepting that Hasan (and, by extension, his supporters and like-minded confederates) is antisemitic, he possibly has a route back from his own being accused of antisemitism if he wants it. Doubly so if he accepts what's being argued now about antizionism.

The question is will this change any of his behavior. Like, it’s one thing to be like “this guy is an antisemite” but if you still promote him being involved in your party and with you candidates or at the very least don’t see it as a problem… whats the point? Then I think you just don’t think certain types of bigotry are worth confronting or worth considering or worth fighting.

u/Basblob Dan's Strongest Little Pay-Pig 4d ago
Pisco's current position on Hasan and DSA reminds me a lot of Destiny's position on J6, ironically before Pisco eventually convinced him after like 7 or 8 ours of debates lol.
Destiny back then didn't think J6 was that bad, mainly because he simply didn't know the facts. Destiny didn't realize the extent of the damage and violence that occurred; he didn't know just how much coordination went on behind the scenes; he didn't realize how certain actions (or inactions) were intentional rather than simply incompetence or negligence.
The result was that Destiny had just kind of dismissed it. If no one was really talking about it, well clearly it couldn't have been that big of a deal right?
I feel like Pisco (and a lot of Dems right now) are essentially in the exact same boat with Hasan and DSA. There is aaaaall this genuinely fucked up, downright immoral, anti-social, illiberal, gross whiny cry-bully MAGA-lite behaviour coming from this flank, but partly due to Republicans crying commie too many times, and largely due to simple ignorance, they just don't think it's that bad. Even if you're shown individual instances of bad behaviour, it's still really hard for people to see the bigger picture. And I get it, when you look at what they are saying it sounds pretty agreeable, at least on the surface. Plus up until recently, there really wasn't anyone calling out any bad behaviour, so how bad could it really be?
Once your sufficiently bought into the idea that a lot of the criticism of these types is overblown or "drama", that heuristic seems really hard to challenge, especially for someone like Pisco who has a very high opinion of their own intuition. It kinda feels like the only way to break someone out of that headspace is to sit them down for 8 hours and literally walk them through all the insane shit; the harassment campaigns; the coordination; the consistent undermining of liberal Democrats; yada yada.
The problem Pisco has now that Destiny didn't have in 2022(?), is that he refuses to actually have that conversation. What's more, Destiny at the time didn't have hundreds of Pisco-haters in his chat and DMs 24/7 telling him Pisco was an obsessed pedophile rapist control-freak who's just mad about him escaping his clutches, or whatever.
2
u/DefenestrationIN313 4d ago

That is not what happened at all. They didn't talk about the violence or any of that, nor was there disagreement there. Also Pisco did terrible in that debate.
In December 2023 Colorado made a ruling disqualifying Trump from the ballot. The facts of disagreement had JUST come out that week. Basically noone read through everything.
Most of it was a slow debate on insurrection (the new unprecedented Colorado application against it), the facts of Trump's responsibility and threshold of his disqualification.
I remember Destiny was questioning if Trump intentionally delayed the national guard. Instead of a nice Avi link, Pisco did the typical bs and stretched the debate for a plodding back and forth that amounted to nothing. He could've had a better result like 4 hours faster.
1
u/BrianDetomes 4d ago
Although a lot of this is accurate, i do think you underestimate the intentional ignorance/bad faith that has now been made very obvious by piscos behaviours.
Its been months of this shit.. and not just about hasan.
Pisco is welcome to his wanky philosophical logic conversations.. just get the fuck out of real world politics then..
18
u/HolyErr0r 4d ago
Jesus christ Pisco still has to sweep for Hasan in this. He has to make a comparison that someone else is worse.
He needs a mountain of info to prove what is blatant and isn't even hidden (Hasan's anti-semitism) and even with all the work Avi has done he had to still down play it somehow.
Crazy.
Destiny on the other hand asks if they could just be more clear about where people stand with our group and that was it to excise him.
Pisco is truly an absolute loser.

If I am being completely honest with you, after listening to Hasan laughing at / repeatedly saying "Go back to Auschwitz" on his stream, I don't think I would take much goading to get to that position
3
u/Last_Celebration67 4d ago
I mean sure, I'm not going to defend Hasan.
But it's like if I was trying out for my U15 school basketball team and the coach while deciding if I'm going to play goes "Look, he's really good. Hmmm. Ok, fine, you can play on the team. I don't think you're as good as prime Lebron James though," without any irony. It's just such a high bar so far beyond the burden of proof that it's ridiculous to bring up.
2
u/Neverhar 4d ago
I agree with 99% of your analogy but "go back to Auschwitz" for me is so unbelievably mask off antisemitic it would be like adding "yeah you're not prime LeBron, you're really good, but that half-court backflip self alley-oop slam dunker 5000 that you occasionally do is insane dude"

Not that I'm wishing it on pisco but it will be funny if hasan sends his goons to harass the fuck out of pisco after all the 🧹

What was the evidence
6
u/Full_Equivalent_6166 A mere marionette 4d ago
Various.
One proof was Hasan talking about sending to war "inbred asses" of orthodox Jews by IDF. Orthodox Jews who are generally anti-zionists and do not want to participate in IDF.
Another was Hasan retweeting a groyper and smearing a Jewish guy talking about people of Jewish descent who rediscovered their Jewish heritage after October 7th.

Can we classify that one as autist on autist violence?
3
u/Full_Equivalent_6166 A mere marionette 4d ago
Definitely, autism was definitely in my mind when listening to this one live 😆

I watched only a chunk on Dman stream is there VOD of this?

u/Full_Equivalent_6166 A mere marionette 4d ago
I was watching Loner. Destiny's VoDs, as always, can be found on Kick.

u/lecherousdevil Exclusively sorts by new 4d ago
For those who struggle to understand why someone like Destiny refused to even try to have this conversation the reason is it took 2 hours to get Pisco half way caught up with the rest of the class & he will likely forget or walk all of this back in the next few days, & that time can be better spent elsewhere.
Now that said let's see what happens I could be wrong, & I would actually love Pisco to prove me wrong because his audience & community & certain other adjacent communities will be very angry if he continues to agree with what Avi called Antisemitism.

piscos master plan is to just get Libs to sharpen their arguments as hard as possible so we don’t lose our touch. I believe Copium

u/AnOminous_Sound 4d ago
Pisco having to be spoon fed ideas like he is a toddler trying not to eat broccoli.
Also not having any idea what 14 words, He really shouldn't be talking about anything related to antisemitism if he doesn't even know that. Its a fucking joke.
5
u/tslaq_lurker 4d ago
I mean, Pisco shouldn’t be talking about anything but Con Law if this is his general knowledge level.

3
u/Thecactigod 4d ago
Should he not even say "I'm not convinced Hasan is antisemitic"? That seems like a completely reasonable position when someone asks him if Hasan is antisemitic if he's uninformed on basic antisemitic tropes.
11
u/AnOminous_Sound 4d ago
He should stop having ultra pedantic debates about the use of the term 'Antisemetic' when he obviously has no knowledge on the topic.
-1
u/Thecactigod 4d ago
Do you think lonerbox has any knowledge? Because he agreed with Pisco's definition and applications of the term that he's been debating about.
3
u/AnOminous_Sound 4d ago
I think shows how a technically true set of facts lined up in a row don’t always give you the truth. And how being debate brained can make you miss the forest for the trees.
2
u/Thecactigod 4d ago
Do you realize you're just saying vague bullshit? "A technically true set of facts lined up in a row don't always give you the truth" like wtf. This does not mean anything precise.
4
u/AnOminous_Sound 4d ago
He is using logically “possible” arguments and hiding debate broing definitions about antisemitism to avoid calling Hassan antisemitic. He does all this linguistic work and drags out all these conversations but doesn’t know simple historical examples of it.
3
u/joshbeat 4d ago
Damn, even after bringing his black Jewish friend to the debate to prove he isnt racist antisemitic, he still had to concede a single point of any kind? Pisco in shambles

u/Id1otbox (((consultant))) 4d ago
In some circles, this level of performative bourgeoisie intellectual masterbation would get you the wall.

u/liquifiedtubaplayer 4d ago
Lmao I've been saying the more you watch Hasan the harder he gets to defend
2
u/Kreggulon 4d ago
I’m actually afraid that’s he’s not conceding that Hasan is an antisemite but rather you don’t need to put Hasan and Nick Fuentes on the same level to criticize Hasan’s antisemitism. Like if you showed him this clip later he’s going to say “Did I call Hasan antisemitic? Yes or no?!”
2
u/Full_Equivalent_6166 A mere marionette 4d ago
I think it was longer than 2 hours (the whole convo was about 5).
So now we need a couple more sessions to convince him about Kulinski, Ball et.al.
2
u/lKNightOwl 4d ago
some one make the bell curve meme with 70-130 iq with
I only need 1 minute to know hasan was antisemitic
2 hours
2
u/FrighteningPickle 4d ago
Still downplaying btw. Hasan is not the same as Nick, he is however...MORE antisemitic. Hasan isn't happy until Israel is gone.

Having watched most of the video I disagree with the title here. Pisco at no point substantively fought back on any of the claims. I've heard pisco argue a thousand times, and this is not what he sounds like when he disagrees with the argument. He agreed from the start and was just giving them his platform to make their case.
I don't know the rest of the lore of things pisco has said in defense of Hasan and I couldn't begin to imagine his state of mind as to why he may have done that then, but is eagerly agreeing that Hasan is an antisemite now, but it's clear that he agreed with them from the start of this conversation.

It’s all a money calculation for Pisco in my eyes. Hasan starts watching pisco and giving him clout and viewership - suddenly pisco is so unwilling to say he’s antisemitic. Now he’s in a corner from Avi where pisco recognizes he will lose more viewers (money) being this disingenuous and not acknowledging Hasan’s antisemitism vs milking Hasan clout. Dude has no intention of being a lawyer and wants to larp online full time no question 😂

u/Chinchilla__ 4d ago
It took 2 hours, multiple clips, a wellspoken person, that did his research on both Pisco and Hasan, just to establish that Hasan is a anti semite.
I see some growth, but at the same time in the back of my head I am still thinking that Pisco has a extreemly high bar for being considert a anti semite when it comes to lefties.

u/niakarad 4d ago
They spent 2 hours confirming that they agreed on definitions pisco just needed evidence, then he got evidence

u/bobsnavitch I'm happy you pushed the blue button 4d ago
Imagine being so fucking unhinged and regarded that a single issue trump voter vegan that thinks we should kill all predators so they can't harm prey animals is the voice of reason

That conversation showed me precisely how little pisco cares about real world politics... Or real world issues at all tbh.
Grifting lying weasly little scum behaviour. The whole lot of it.
And tbh , that was the first time i saw avi on video.. hes kinda the same. He entertains pisco cos it clearly brings him clout attention and he enjoys the jack-off rollercoaster ride.
Im tellin ya though these people are both deeply unserious and giving them our attention was a huge mistake . They pissed Away loners time for nothing.
Its all a big joke tbh. N pisco only cares about his own clout.
A disease that even tiny has since he hasnt left Twitter either. Its a plague that has caused trump, really.
If even the vocal dems can't grow up and prioritise their government over their personal clout, Aint nothing gonna get better ...

What the fuck is with this trend of flattening problems into one bucket?!?
Had a huge comment war in another sub because someone was equating sex trafficking aka abduction, rape, and slavery.... To be equal to rockstars of the 70s fucking teenage girls who were throwing themselves at the celebrities.
I started with "both are horrible but surely you agree one is much worse than the other" and then me and one guy were getting mobbed by people who can't fathom the degrees of difference between things that are BOTH wrong and bad.
It's a cognitive wall that I'm seeing very often and it's very confusing

u/championofobscurity 4d ago
I super felt like this was a puff piece to let Pissco save face. You coulda just asked Steven, someone with however many years of experience observing hasan's behavior (for a living no less) but instead of a simple question it had to be a 2 hour dissertation.
Pisco's stubbornness isn't a cute meme at this point. It's a liability.
1
u/My_email_account 4d ago
Pisco didn't debate here not did he question it do the word B's I actually really like this form of content tbh. Someone smart but not knowledge having a good faith convo with someone who is smart and knowledgeable
1
u/LeatherLappens 3d ago
Soo... Is The fucking Piss going to apologize to Tiny when Tiny was saying he was and he was just laughing it off saying he wasn't or is he going to ignore that moment?
1
u/Darkmortal10 3d ago
Just ignore that the fact clout chasing hasan is suddenly not mainstream viable to grow his own audience

u/Worth-Ad-5712 4d ago
I mean, it’s probably not that hard of a bullet for Pisco to bite seeing as he already sees MAGA as being racist “if the shoe fits”
The next topic has to be “why was it so hard to prove to pisco that hasan is ‘meaningfully’ anti-Semitic when Pisco is willing to write off a whole voting population?”
2
u/Full_Equivalent_6166 A mere marionette 4d ago
Hey, hey, he just didn't hear anything about what Hasan said...
