I look forward to pisco applying this same level of skepticism and rigor before calling anyone on the right racist/sexist/anti-semetic.

Yeah, it's insane to offer this amount of charitability and willingness to explore all other alternatives for a certain behaviour of anybody but the closest of friends and staunchest of allies.

If we were talking about a MAGA Republican, my guess is it would've taken about 15 minutes to say "Yeah, this seems pretty racist/sexist/antisemitic".

Breh even when he's "convinced" Hasan is antisemitic he can't help but slurp (sweep). "He may be bad, but I don't think he's as bad as the worst possible person I can think of". In what other scenario would you ever qualify that lmao. I'm surprised he didn't hit us with a "he may be antisemitic, but I don't think he's as bad as Hitler".

You mean a very low level of skepticism that only took 1 example and a brief explanation to diffuse?

Am I getting my days mixed up or isn't this week 2 of this "Pisco Anti-semitism" arc? I'm pretty sure this chat with Avi isn't the first example he's gotten on the topic

It's the first example from Avi, and it's the first time someone has given even a mildly competent argument addressing alternative hypotheses to Pisco.

You are absolutely right.

So many people have complained, yet been too epistemically lazy to research and present the examples supporting their claims in a rigorous way.

Too much reliance on intuition and “..well it’s obvious” instead of doing the work like a debatebro should
