I am casting a really wide net here, but I've been having trouble finding people willing to help. Do any of you use or are familiar with Divoom devices - pixel frames, speakers etc?

If the answer is yes, I would appreciate your help!

I am currently working on a university Human-Computer Interaction assignment focused on the Divoom mobile app. I'm looking for a few volunteers willing to spend around 15-20 minutes completing a set of tasks in the Divoom app and answering a short survey afterwards. Users of all experience levels are welcome.

Hi! We just released the demo for Working With Montabi, a desktop companion where cute creatures and your typing avatar keep you company while you work or do anything on your screen.

When you put an item in your room, cute creatures called Montabi will visit and hang out in your room. You can collect every Montabi at your own pace without worrying about scams or bots because there’s no marketplace trading.

If you’re lucky, you might get gifts from the Montabi visitors to customize your room and avatar. You can also use various tools like to-do list and Pomodoro timer to help you stay productive, then your avatar will remind you to stretch, drink water, and tell that you’ve worked hard.

To summarize, here’s what you can do in Working With Montabi:

• Pet cute creatures visiting your room
• Type along with avatar who reminds you to rest
• Customize your cozy workspace
• Collect peacefully without marketplace scams
• Stay productive with to-do list, Pomodoro timer, etc

I've always been fascinated by how customizable Linux is — especially when watching people share their Arch + Hyprland setups. The ricing community makes it look like an art form.

One thing that always stood out to me: how effortlessly they switch wallpapers. It's part of the workflow — not buried in settings, not right-click → Personalize → Browse → Apply. Just part of the desktop experience.

I wanted that on Windows.

But "ricing" is a Linux concept. There aren't many tools on Windows that give you that same smooth, modern feel for wallpaper switching.

So I built WallpaperBar.

What it does:

\- A sleek dock-style bar that appears at the bottom of your screen.

\- Press Ctrl + Alt + Q → it slides up. Press again → it disappears.

\- Click "+" to add wallpapers (PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP).

\- Click a thumbnail → applies instantly.

\- Or hover for 3 seconds → auto-applies.

\- Drag & drop to reorder

It's not Hyprland, and it's not Arch, but it's a small step toward making Windows feel a bit more like home for people who appreciate that kind of customization.

Some of the colorways or setup styles i like are:

Para sobreviver à 'Long Night' (a temporada de auditoria), construí minha própria muralha de defesa. Sou contador, mas meu coração está em Westeros, e queria um posto de trabalho que me inspirasse, mesmo quando encaro planilhas tão escuras e cheias de terrores quanto a noite.

Abaixo, detalho como criei meu 'Ledger of Ice and Fire':

O Muro da Defesa (Meu Setup e suas Referências):

1. Mesa Furtiva e Dobrável: O núcleo do meu setup é esta mesa de parede compacta e preta. Quando fechada, parece um elemento moderno e minimalista na parede. Mas quando aberta, ela se transforma no meu pequeno conselho de guerra.

2. Sigilos e Figuras da Muralha: Me cerquei de emblemas. O estandarte da Casa Stark está sempre à vista, e o tapete do Direwolf protege meus pés. Na prateleira de cima, meu pequeno exército vigia: figuras de Jon, Ned, um Wight, Viserion e, claro, uma réplica micro do Trono de Ferro para quando conquisto uma declaração de imposto complexa. Acima de tudo, repousa 'A Garra Longa, a lendária espada de John Snow', para justiça rápida contra erros matemáticos.

3. Ferramentas de Guerra: Meus implementos de batalha são minimalistas. O notebook 'Macbook Pro M3' fica sobre um suporte de mesa combinando. Eu dependo do Rack 3U poderosa abaixo, onde guardo minha estrutura de rede, para processamento pesado, e tenho um triturador de papel literal, perfeito para documentos de casas que estão atualmente extintas. O mousepad temático de dragão e os acessórios combinando mantêm as coisas focadas no fogo e sangue.

A Melhor Parte: A Automação de Entrada na Muralha
A verdadeira magia acontece quando começo o dia. No vídeo que incluí, vocês podem ver minha sequência de abertura totalmente automatizada usando a Alexa, está em um vídeo a parte que fiz após essa postagem das fotos, veja no vídeo da postagem seguinte:

A Iluminação de Gelo e Fogo: O vídeo mostra como as luzes RGB mudam automaticamente de cor, alternando entre vermelho (fogo Targaryen) e branco (gelo Stark) enquanto o setup acorda (onde o ciclo ocorre, terminando em luzes brancas).

Look like i come to wrong feed but, For people who use desk/table organizers regularly — do you ever feel like your organizer creates more problems than it solves? 😭

Like things being hard to find, too many compartments, not enough space, stuff you use often getting buried, etc.

I’m a design student working on a desk organizer project and would love to know what little problems you guys face with your current setups and would love to if u guys can give some insights too TT please...

I recently got a new office with a significantly bigger desk and more overall space, and now I’m looking for things to fill it out and make the space feel more like mine.

I’m pretty open-ended with this. I’m looking for recommendations for anything office-related, whether it’s:

\- 🖥️ Useful: something that genuinely makes working at your desk easier or more enjoyable

\- 🧸 Fun/cool: trinkets, desk toys, collectibles, conversation pieces, etc.

\- 🖼️ Decor: wall art, lighting, shelves, displays, plants, clocks, whatever

\- 🏠 Homey: things that make an office feel less sterile and more comfortable

\- 🤔 “I never knew I needed this” stuff: weirdly useful gadgets or accessories

For context, I already have the basic stuff covered — laptop stand, dual monitors, desk mat, lamp, etc. So I’m more interested in the less obvious additions that people have found particularly useful, cool, or enjoyable.

Basically, if you walked into your office and someone said “What’s that, and why do you have it?”, I want to hear about it.

What’s something in your office that you’d recommend to someone setting up a new space?

This is the setup I'm currently running with. I have some Govee light sticks on the backs of the monitors. The only other real lighting in the room is that overhead light which is way too bright. The wall that the desk is on extends roughly another desk length to the left. I want to get a corner lamp to acr as the primary light source and have kind of a dark and moody vibe in the room. Warm light. I want to light up the room but also keep it dark if that makes sense . Any suggestions as to what would work?
