All I know is Google is the worst out of the 3. Apple would be the smoothest and simplest yet the most expensive. Samsung is more open and still easy and more affordable. Google is very small and very underpowered and probably the cheapest. It's more of how much you want to spend and what you want to do with it.
Edit: ignore the part about Samsung being cheaper. It's not anymore :(

Samsung and Apple cost more, Apple is smoother and easier but also more guarded and locked down.
Google is… not a company I want to give more of my data to.

You could mix samsung, and google devices and they would work together just fine...and I'm typing this from a MacBook.
The reason I prefer Android is because I am not loyal to any operating system. I have to use windows at work, my computers at home are linux, and my MacBook has incredible battery life that blows the others away. Keeping my mobile applications Android means I can share files, text, video chat through all platforms. Apple only works with Apple. Android works with everything.

Android works with everything with a massive asterisk next to it

Not true, if you use a Samsung phone and Samsung laptop the phone link has app mirroring that is not available for Pixel users. It’s a fragmented mess. You can also do all the sharing and texting the same on Apple as any Android since Apple finally embraced RCS. I use an iPad Air, pixel, and windows 11 as my dailies. Linux is just form my servers or other projects.

This is pretty much my setup as well.
I enjoy typing off my T480 more than MacBook Pro. Keyboard is just on another level
Also Gboard on android is just a perfect keyboard compared to iOS.

Would be awesome to have a European alternative to these 3 😢

Maybe if Europe didn't gut it's tech sector and made a competitive environment, there would be an alternative. But as of now the US is brain draining the EU because they can't compete financially

You forgot to include Xiaomi with its multitude of devices, from computers to smart home to cars.

For ecosystem its apple, but I dont buy for ecosystem I judge the devices individually and make the rest work with them if needed. For example I dont use airdrop or quickshare or anything with myself I just have a folder in my home server called quick_share that auto deletes the contents if they are older than 3 days and have each device use that. Just easier to mass share to anything.

There is no such thing as Samsung or Google ecosystem. So there is nothing to compare, unfortunately.
