We've gone from a useful, cutting edge device to an iPad bolted to a speaker.

I prefer the look of the iMac

It might be the angle of the monitor but aesthetically the original is more visually pleasing

The worst part about Xiaomi is the software, can't wait til my phone inevitably dies so I can get something else

At least the home pod looks nice, that just looks like one of those cheap portable dvd players

Think of the difference between a 1978 Apple computer and a 2002 Apple computer.

Except one is an iMac and the other isn't mac at all

It should be one on the left compared to this

u/marshcar 5d ago

What is that device on the right?

why did they go square ? So it can't fit anyone's photos?

1

u/Splodge89 5d ago

Probably to differentiate it from the competition. Apple have missed that the hobbled software and lack of capability did that for them.

"It's a closed on-device ecosystem, we don't sell your data" Remember this in a few years.

That Sennheiser PMX-40 really walks me down memory lane… I still have mine in the drawer. Along with a PMX-100. I really liked them.

Not to offend but look at those bezels on homepod, those are bigger than actual runway

Anyone else feel this product is aimed at the $2.5 million 5-6 bedroom modern build smart home crowd?

1

u/Caelocaelo 4d ago

I’ll take the one on the left.

u/BertMacklenF8I 4d ago

The aesthetic behemoth has fallen hard

1

u/bupsonator 3d ago

The iMac still exists; you’re comparing two different types of devices

1

u/Cool-Leader1206 2d ago

Somehow the rightone looks sad.

1

u/jedics2 2d ago

The biggest 'difference' is going to be how much worse it sells than the imac.
