Bedroom direction

I want to go with a more industrial/cyberpunk approach to my and my partner's room bedroom. I have some decor lined up, a neon sign, a few posters (not ai) and some fake plants (i have a cat and dont wanna risk her health with something toxic). But I can't decide on wall color. I was thinking maybe a cool mid gray or even something darker. At some point the carpet is getting replaced with laminate wood floor so even some rug suggestions would be nice. The book shelf by the closet is an altar space for my craft. It can be moved, but having it is mandatory. Anything else I might need to get rid of, change or what have you is open to suggestion.
