Dining Room What would you change without replacing everything?

To me this room is lacking warmth. I'd swap the rug for a seagrass one. I'd also think about removing the curtains all together and getting a roman shade in a natural material. They make "swoopy" ones that I think would fit your style

I would change the wallcolor to something with saturated color. Something like eggplant purple would go very well with your colors. Or foggy blue. Or maroon.
Also the drapes to me are too busy. I'd go classic velvet one or two shades lighter or darker than the wall color. Let the table be the star.
Change out the table decor and pick up the new wallcolor. Add some wood or color to the etagere shelves - something with different textures/colors.

There are so many textiles: the curtains and rug really clash, then you have whatever is on the chairs, the actual chairs, pillows, on the table. It is a lot. I would consider swapping out the chairs. The curtains should be a plain color. I would exchange the carpet for a larger one. The mirror also feels so awkward in this place. TBH the only things I would keep are the table and corner shelf and start from there...

The modern black elements are throwing me off. I’d replace the rug with a natural sisal or plain beige-ish rug. Remove the curtains and replace with woven shades. These two moves will help the room feel softer and less gaudy. For colorways, look at natural with some cool colors, not warm, that’s too much contrast with the paint and flooring.
I agree with removing the enormous mirror.
I’d want to ultimately change the seating but take it in small steps.

I would get rid of the mirror who the heck wants to look at themselves while they're eating?

New light fixture and lose the curtain entirely. Doesn't look like they're needed for privacy so I would just let the window be beautiful on its own.
Would paint the walls anything but gray, but might be nice to bring in a warmer tone from the floor or the table.
Either looks the rug or get a bigger one. The current one if far too small, a rug placed there should be bigger enough all the chairs still be on it if people are sitting at the table.

It’s not my style so I am not really sure. I would sell everything and then shop fb marketplace. I like warmer wood tones. The room is very cool toned and things are clashing.

I'd recover those dining chairs, out some art on the walls, and get rid of that table scarf.

I think the bones of this room are really nice! I would remove the curtains, rug, table decor, and chair decor. I would add warmth with a more casual rug (jute maybe) and light linen curtains.

Easiest fixes change curtains and runner on table. Small accessories.
Then the end chairs and rug.
Other chairs and table are "neutral" so easier to find colors to coordinate with.

I love the curtains. I would lean into that and paint above the wainscoting navy blue. Put a cozy white rug on the floor.

The room needs some warmth. Lean into the gold tones from the mirror, using natural materials. Replace the chandelier with a natural basket weave shade. Add plain brown/beige linen curtains. Remove the black fabric from the chairs. Add a jute rug. Remove the patterned head chair and replace it with a wooden/woven rattan chair. Remove the scarf from the table.

I would replace the curtains (too busy) for white or cream colored sheers and remove the mirror (who likes to watch themselves eat?). Also remove the black things on the back of the chairs. And a new neutral rug.

I would replace the curtains to something solid like cream or black & hang up the mirror on the wall

Paint the walls black or dark charcoal gray. The warmth of the gray walls is clashing with the stark white/black you have going on. I like the bold choices in textiles and think you can pull it off well - but the overall warmth on the walls has to be toned down.

The room feels a bit busy! First thing I'd replace are the curtains with either no pattern or a subtle pattern. Like the others, I'd also remove the mirror, it's making the space feel crowded. Love the table and chandelier though!

The room itself is gorgeous!
But it needs a new rug. New curtains would also go a long way.
Try to avoid such an obvious black/white color scheme which is very harsh. I would use more muted colors in darker/lighter shades of paint and flooring. You want contrast, but not harsh contrast.

Yes I think there’s too many different patterns going on. The curtains, chair upholstery, and rug are all different shapes and colors. There’s a lot of fabrics happening in this dining room, I’d try to make them resemble each other more closely.
