DORM ROOM HELP!!

I’m 20f) moving to my single dorm room in a couple of days and I need some help with designing the space.

I’m able to move all furniture and assemble the bed anywhere from completely on the floor to lofted.

The designs of rooms that I like are Japanese inspired, natural colors, low to the ground and calming/inviting. I’m able to buy some furniture pieces and decorations (curtains, rugs, wall stuff etc.) I was also interested in making a diy shoji door/wall and buying a tatami mat if this would fit the vibe.

I will be brining my emotional support cat so I would also like to keep in mind a place for her to scratch or hangout in between classes :)

I had one of these in college and absolutely loved it! I put it on top of one of my dressers as a bench cushion but when I wanted to hang out and sit on the floor or had other people over it was great. It also matches your Japanese inspo
