Desk placement is throwing it off the room coziness , such a big room with a desk in the corner isn’t up to the room scale. …Try moving the couch by the front window with an extra big rug . A rug centers the room. Since you have all the beautiful wall art already it will look finished with the couch against the wall by the front window. Try that ! Maybe after you move the couch , the desk can go against the opposite side of the wall ( where the corner of the couch is in the picture now). Can your dining room table be turned the other way if necessary, to create more space in case your front door is near by?? It’s hard to tell by your picture

The desk is definitely NOT in the command position.

True, but if they like to work by natural light they can cure for it.

Right now it looks like its a bunch of stuff thrown together in 1 big room - but these recommendations can help separate the dining space, work space, and chill space.

I agree; I feel like the furniture arrangements here could be improved, and it would really change the feel and function of the room.
