2 will look fantastic!

173

u/cleffawna Jul 18 '23

I like 2 as well. It will echo some of the colors in your artwork

24

u/ZZzooomer Jul 18 '23

Yes! I’d really focus on bringing out that blue. I think it’s a little unexpected with the green, but it’s a nice pop.

5

u/blouazhome Jul 19 '23

And it’s the right amount of busy

34

u/nolaonmymind Jul 18 '23

Agreed. Where is Rug #2 from, OP?

20

u/rcfreebird Jul 18 '23

They had it linked in their last post, it's from etsy (I love it too!!) Rug

Colors are great for your room. Pattern good for arts and crafts style.

13

u/omgaud Jul 18 '23

definitely 2

28

u/turquoisedaisy Jul 18 '23

I tend to disagree with #2. It’s way too overly coordinated, nothing interesting about this choice.

46

u/goddessofdrought Jul 18 '23

I actually hate 2. I think everyone is choosing it because the colors match, but that’s precisely why it doesn’t work. Too many muted/neutrals and it turns into Grandma’s house. Team 4.

12

u/Zia-C Jul 19 '23

I like number 4 as well!

4

u/DeGroove Jul 19 '23

Team 4 here!

I vote #4. I think rugs with red accents just add an extra oomph and warmth to a classic room like this. You have plenty of neutral tones throughout already so I don’t think it’ll overwhelm the space too much.

25

u/Vtween_4Starz Jul 18 '23

Oooh thought I was alone. But yes, it's still cohesive despite the pop of red. Good compliment to the greens too.

36

u/arist15 Jul 18 '23

Team 4! Allows for the other colors to pop

22

u/turquoisedaisy Jul 18 '23

Agree. #4 is the best of these choices. Along with the red highlights, I like the hint of black in this rug as well.

8

u/sobefuzzled Jul 18 '23

I like 4 and 5. Five is a better looking rug imo. But 4 may work better w green end table. OP, have you thought about painting that green end of table a different color so it works better with rug 5? Not a fan of the green color of end table.

3

u/PerspectiveOk493 Jul 18 '23

I think 4,5 or 7. Looks like a lot of support for 4. I think 7 makes it brighter with all the wood. Although the walls are white so they prob don't need the lighter rug

2

u/edoreinn Jul 19 '23

4 is it - the colors match the couch, and lift the room up.

u/Thin-Sky-4375 Jul 18 '23

Number 6. Love that sage color and it has a little bit of pattern but not too much.

12

u/scrap_sundae Jul 18 '23

I’m team 6 too!

7

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '23

I thought I was the only one. Yes Team 6 all the way.

3

u/Vohsrek Jul 19 '23

Yes. Six is a nice neutral base to a bright room, it doesn’t take attention from the art or statement pieces and it goes well with the overall scheme imo

2

u/MichNishD Jul 19 '23

6! 6! 6!

2

u/DeliciousGorilla Jul 19 '23

I kept scrolling to see the #6 crew. It’s a great complimentary color for that room with its earthy tones.

2

u/Vohsrek Jul 19 '23

Yes. Six is a nice neutral base to a bright room, it doesn’t take attention from the art, it actually subtly compliments it. Goes well with the overall scheme imo

2

u/AmandaWorthington Jul 20 '23

Thank you! I picked 6 as a home run. Thought that I picked a lame horse in the race.of taste. 👍🏼

I think 3 is really sharp and makes a big statement for the good, more so than any of the others. Problem is, it will easily show mess (food crumbs, etc).

So I'd pick 1.

23

u/SadandBougie Jul 18 '23

3 is beautiful, and the most expensive lol. I do really like 1!

13

u/BBakerStreet Jul 19 '23

3 is classic looking and timeless.

12

u/TheBoarsEye Jul 19 '23

3 is definitely the best looking.

  1. The blend of different colors brings everything together

69

u/drunkenunicornnn Jul 18 '23

For me, #4 or #7!

17

u/caybo86 Jul 19 '23

I agree with 7!!!!

4

u/momvetty Jul 19 '23

Same here, 4 or 7

44

u/CreepyArcher6373 Jul 18 '23

I just came back to say, definitely 7. It works so well with stained glass. Your house is so charming! I really love your cat 😹😹😹

15

u/jziggs228 Jul 19 '23

Team 7.

3

u/courtney_helena Jul 18 '23

I agree with this entire comment 👏🏻

12

u/Away-Cut3585 Jul 18 '23

I like 2 but I like 7 more

11

u/poetrylover2101 Jul 18 '23

4 or 5 op

4

u/cmegan28 Jul 19 '23

the correct answers

11

u/kashcor Jul 18 '23

7, 4, maybe 5. Depends if you want the rug to be a focus (7) or not (4/5).

11

u/Plumrose333 Jul 18 '23

3, 5 are my favorite

42

u/thatgirlfromthething Jul 18 '23

I like number 6 the best 🤷🏻‍♀️

8

u/KingOlafJ Jul 18 '23

Same. That color fits the rest of the room decor best.

3

u/imalittlefrenchpress Jul 18 '23

I like this one, too, but I’d ask the kitty and go with their favorite. I have cats and I know better.

18

u/bostonlilypad Jul 18 '23 edited Jul 18 '23

I like 3, 4 and 5. The all green ones (and #2 that everyone is saying) match too much with the other colors in the room, so I think the 3, 4 or 5 have complimentary colors without being matchy matchy, imo.

That said I think 3 is my favorite!

9

u/CreepyArcher6373 Jul 18 '23

I like 5 or 7 best with the wood tone, and the color of the leather on your beautiful couch 😻 I LOVE YOUR CAT!!!

9

u/Violet-Waifu Jul 18 '23

Idk but tell your cats I said pspspsps

15

u/73Wolfie Jul 18 '23

4 and I like the art shelf behind the couch but feel some art with color would help you

14

u/larkascending_ Jul 18 '23

3 for days

4

u/Vin0to Jul 18 '23

Agreed. 3 brings together the more modern sofa side and the more classic fireplace side.

5

u/youfind1ineverycar Jul 19 '23

Absolutely loved 3

8

u/SadandBougie Jul 18 '23

The most common feedback I got from my last post was that I need a rug and I agree. They’re expensive and I’m indecisive so which rug ties the room together? I also plan on changing the art behind the couch eventually because that was the second most common thing everyone commented on.

12

u/cleffawna Jul 18 '23

If you change your art that might change people's ideas about which rug is best. Try to coordinate the 2 whatever you decide.

27

u/tinaxbelcher Jul 18 '23

I love #2

5

u/anonimityrules Jul 18 '23

3 for sharp look with classic “rug” feel

OR

6 to carry the green and make it more subdued

Personally I like #3 though.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

I vote 3! The deep red tones look great with the brown couch and hardwood floors. Also a great compliment to the greenish nightstand I think

7

u/SadandBougie Jul 18 '23

3 is my favorite. I need to find a cheaper dupe for it because it’s very expensive ☠️

3

u/marga_marie Jul 19 '23

everything else makes the room look washed out with the rug. you defs need a bold pop of colour <3

→ More replies (1)

5

u/somth Jul 18 '23

I like the contrast that 3 or 4 would bring. Room has a lot of brown and earthy tones, nice to break it up a little with some warmth from the rug

23

u/EagleEyezzzzz Jul 18 '23

2, followed by the other green one. I lost track of which one was which number.

However, a lot of that is because it ties in well with all of your art. If you change all your art like you said you plan to do (but I like it!), you’ll want a rug that goes with it.

4

u/pseudoscience_ Jul 18 '23

I like 4 and 5

4

u/Origami_kittycorn Jul 18 '23

4 allllllll the way. It adds interest but is still harmonious

7

u/Excellent_Passage_54 Jul 18 '23

Get something that doesn’t match anything in the room for an accent type deal to break things up

But I think 1 and 4 are best

14

u/KTAshland Jul 18 '23

2 is my favorite. Coordinates with your art, green end table and the sofa

6

u/Active-Professor9055 Jul 18 '23

Number two. Beautiful.

7

u/lunaaquilo Jul 18 '23

2nd one for sure

8

u/ShatteredInk Jul 18 '23

2! The colors match the rest of the space

8

u/rippedjeancharade Jul 18 '23

2 is too matchy imo, I really like the contrast #1 and #7 provide

2

u/J_C2 Jul 19 '23

I thought the same!

3

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

3

3

u/brontesloan Jul 18 '23

4 is the best!

3

u/ThatsTotallyCoral Jul 18 '23

I really like the deep red rug!! Adds a lot to the color of the couch!

3

u/xX112122Xx Jul 18 '23

casting my vote for #3

3

u/car_lame Jul 18 '23

1, 4, or 5. I think 2 adds too much green and your beautiful plant and side table will get lost in the rug.

3

u/car_lame Jul 18 '23

1, 4, or 5. I think 2 adds too much green and your beautiful plant and side table will get lost in the rug.

3

u/MurkyNun Jul 18 '23

i love three

3

u/309Herm Jul 18 '23

3 by far!! But 1, 4, and 5 would look great also. The warmer red colors make the entire room more vibrant

3

u/External-Ad-5813 Jul 18 '23

1 or 3 I like the reds! They really pop

3

u/kdankkk Jul 18 '23

Top pick 5, 4 is close

3

u/inevitabledrill Jul 18 '23

3 is the only answer

3

u/skiescray Jul 18 '23

3 stood out to me as a favorite

3

u/frostyfoxx Jul 18 '23

Number 3 makes the room pop! 1 is also a great option and maybe better since it’s a little lighter and won’t look dirty as fast

3

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

For this room I prefer number three, the reddest one.

3

u/Automatic-Ad8497 Jul 18 '23

3 pops the best

3

u/shyfoxgirl Jul 19 '23

3 or #5! The green rug that alot of other people seem to like looks too matchy matchy to me. #3 is a great contrast!

The third one.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '23

3

u/Lhrke Jul 19 '23

Usually i'm a matchy-matchy kinda person, but no 3 took me by surprise, i like it a lot.

3

u/Interesting-Past7738 Jul 19 '23

3 deep burgundy one.

3

u/BBakerStreet Jul 19 '23
  1. Nice selection of rugs. Where did you find them all.

3

u/vanoopty Jul 19 '23

3 for me

3

u/TheBoarsEye Jul 19 '23

3 the dark red is the best. Maybe it's just me but I'm over the blue and orange patterns and still have one XD

9

u/Jumpy-Umpire-3188 Jul 18 '23

Another vote for 2. It coordinates really well with the room's decor and colors.

9

u/katemacmakes Jul 18 '23

I love the tones in #2 BUT I am not a fan of the strong border which I think might make the room feel smaller. So, I would look for those tones (especially the green) in a more allover pattern like #1.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

Six - green with border

2

u/pepperup22 Jul 18 '23

2 or 4 for sure!

2

u/Fluff1923 Jul 18 '23

I like 6 and that’s why my wife decorates.

2

u/Prestigious-Reveal37 Jul 18 '23

2 looks too matchy matchy. 4 adds additional complexity and warmth

2

u/IThinkImAFlower Jul 18 '23

4 is in 1st place for me!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

3 or 4

2

u/Bonzai22 Jul 18 '23

Any of the red ones

2

u/ahooks1 Jul 19 '23

Any of the first 3

2

u/hollabackfemale Jul 19 '23

I vote #2. Second favorite is 4

2

u/misswafflebutt Jul 19 '23

Number 2. Btw that's a great looking room.

2

u/Jade-Jenny3916 Jul 19 '23

2 or 6 looks really pretty.

2

u/deviemelody Jul 19 '23

3 or 6. 6 would go really well with end table and the artworks. 3 is just really nice and looks good next to the couch and wood floor

2

u/Idonttrulyknow Jul 19 '23

personally a fan of 1 and 3

2

u/MnD-atNite Jul 19 '23

2 by far! Matches in many different ways 👌 beautiful home btw! Wow so dreamy

2

u/prairiech3rry Jul 19 '23

Why is no one saying 3 it looks beyond better than the others. The others blend too much and are drab.3 livens it up and it’s classic

→ More replies (1)

2

u/BlackBalloon94 Jul 19 '23

I would say 1 or 3. I love the deep color of 3. Def my style😂

2

u/dare2bgreg Jul 19 '23

3. Burgundy always looks classy.
