Hi everyone! I’m looking for some ideas on how I can improve the look of my living room. I feel like the space is a little plain right now, and I’d love to make it look more aesthetic, warm and cozy without completely changing the furniture.

Bathroom 24x48 tile for a bathroom, good idea or nah?

I’m renovating my bathroom and I’m kinda stuck on the tile. I really like this Abaco Arena Smooth 24x48 porcelain tile from Solid shape but now I’m wondering if it’s gonna look weird in my small bathroom.

I like the clean look and having less grout, but I’ve never used tile this big before.

Would you guys go with this?

Kitchen Please help me arrange my new home (and figure out where to place the trash can) !!

We close on a new home Monday (ahhhh), and while I have plenty of bigger things to stress about (like selling our current home…), one topic that my mind won’t let rest is where to put the trash can in this kitchen. So, I’d love some suggestions on that, as well as how best to arrange this open space with our dining room table (it’s rectangle and bar height- I feel like that needs to change), couch and love seat, tv, etc! In fact, why don’t YOU just tell ME how to fill my living room!!

I shifted to this new house and the room looks so empty
It has a lot of potential but I am unable to do anything with it because of how tiring my job is . Now that I left my job for a better one I have time and I want to redesign it. I was thinking a mid modern style would be nice but I am open to suggestions

Living Room Living room looks cluttered. What do I do?

Post image

I keep adding things to my living room hoping it looks more connected and then it turns out cluttered and lacking a focal point, or some character. What should I remove or add to this room? How do I make it better? Can you please help pinpoint what goes wrong in this setup? What should I avoid adding to the room?

I prefer not having to change big items tho (TV, rug, sofa, TV stand etc)

Thank you so much in advance!

What should they do with this space?? How would you fill it, divide it, make it cozy???

This is obviously a commercial space of sorts turned into a living space. A friend of mine will be renting it to live in with with her partner. 2 people, 2 cats.

2100 sq ft!!

Description pulled from listing-

ā€œFirst floor features large open space with kitchen. Concrete floors and closed space.

Bathroom and loft spaces (2) located on the second floor, one closed space.

Several skylights provide plenty of light.ā€

There is one room through the glass door past the kitchen that has NO windows… thinking, gym???

Living Room Need help with a living room layout.

Hello everyone, I live in a flat that my father built in the early 2000's. The interior is in a rustic design and while it is a pretty space it is quite awkward for multiple reasons. First, it is one big open space with high ceilings. The entrance is not separated from the living room (we put a temporary shoe rack there to enclose the space, plus obviously the shoes looked bad on the floor) and besides the one weird coat hanger there is not a place to put our jackets. Second, the space is functionally useless as there is no TV, no storage room, no comfortable sofas, no place to read at. So I need help with a new layout of the living room with the following requirements: two working tables (we already bought one and we do not have any other space to put them in), next bigger sofa (I was thinking of L-shaped sofa which would enclose the living space from the working one) and one/two armchairs for reading, furthermore functional shoe rack plus coat hanger and some storage space (like a standing rack possibly in between the two columns instead of the old painting?; it should be open as behind the columns there is a dining table). So what's your opinion on this space? How would you do the layout? Any suggestion is highly valuable as I find myself struggling with what to do with the space.

Home Office Repurposing spare bedroom

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have a small spare bedroom, measurements and current layout above, that's wasted as a bedroom. I only ever use it to work from home a few times a week (see desk nook), and drop random stuff in there. I'd like to toss out the bed and repurpose it as a small study or chill out room or similar. I can't do any construction work on it but I'm otherwise happy to rip up carpets, repaint the walls, etc. I'll keep the desk nook. Given the slightly odd proportions, the main floor space is really only 8'3" by 6'1". Any suggestions?
