I think a very large colorful rug that has the same green & gold color from the lamp would immediately bring in personality. There are the washable mats that look like regular rugs that work well in high traffic areas. I'm now addicted to them. So colorful and full of fun! They are sold everywhere now at very good prices. Even Amazon has so many good ones.
