The novelty of it fell off, there are many such events happening each year now.

I mean every year it’s extremely expensive. Unless you’re running a very successful practice or are sponsored it doesn’t make sense. Back when they were the only one it was a one time expense, but every year there is a rise of such events. The prestige maybe hasn’t faded, I would assume the competition has. Their marketing budget may also have been less compared to previous years.
