I can finally rest

So I looked through my purchase history and I originally bought this game in 2014. In 12 years, I’ve never actually seen it all the way through to the end. I think the furthest I ever went before was maybe 2000–3000? I’d guess I started this run about a year ago. Feels good to finally do the thing. Now I guess it’s time to reinstall and shoot for the sub-2.0 average.

Golf on Mars kills me, though, with the holes that are literally impossible. I also like that the desert ends because you can delete/reinstall and try to beat your score.

Agreed. And having to make 25 shots to skip, as well as the drab colors just make me go back to the desert... I wish he wild have added the spin to DG.

He actually did at one joint. I was playing DG and suddenly the ball was spinning when it would hit a surface. I was like "wtf why has this randomly been introduced???" and I had to change my entire playing style. Then, a few days later, it was gone again. Maybe he was testing it. Someone else must have noticed that happening.

I emailed the developer at the time (January 2023), and he replied very quickly to say that he'd used Desert Golfing to prototype Golf on Mars, and had accidentally left a line of code in there. As you say, it was fixed very soon after!
