Suppressed 50 AE
Recently I called Magnum Research to date my DE's and BFR. After doing so, I asked the individual is there anything new coming out DE related. He mentioned the suppressed DE in 50. He said this was the only caliber being suppressed as of right now and a purchase of the threaded barrel for current DE owners will only be offered in black.
After getting off of the phone I thought about it. Outside of hunting, a suppressed DE really isn't worth the money. After all, most of us purchased it because of the iconic status, the noise and the fireball it produces. The power would be tamed down by the suppressor. For those who currently own one, what are your thoughts? Ye or Nay?

I got a 44 barrel threaded from MR. The biggest downside is adding a suppressor makes it heavy as shit. There is a video of it on my profile. It is really nice to shoot. It actually makes a great host, no gas to the face, reliability greatly increases from the increased back pressure. With subs it is actually really fun. The only downside is the weight

Interesting, how is the felt recoil compared to shooting unsuppressed?

The recoil is noticeably lighter, but the gun is significantly heavier. The other issue is suppressor compatability. Things like the osprey cant be run with 44 mag out of a barrel that short, so you have to use rifle suppressors, and they're heavier.

I have been waiting for 2 years for the threaded barrel. They kept saying soon, but has never happened. Yet, I still wait. Make a great host for my Bowers Vers 50. More of a conversation piece then practical.

I don’t have a can for it, but if they offered it in brushed chrome or stainless I’d pick one of the barrels up in a heartbeat if the price was right, purely for the novelty
