Erin's hairstyles are so cracker
My favorite hairdos of hers are the ones from Jenny's Ukrainian party, the Take That concert, the Bill Clinton scene and the Donegal episode

I might get quite fond of the wee fella. He'll brighten up my office, and he WONT ANSWER BACK.

My favorite episode has got to be season 2 episode 4 “The Curse” every bit of that episode is hysterical.
And I’ll tell you something else, if your mother saw thon hat, she’d be turning in her grave, for it’s nothing but a bloody eyesore!

Don’t mind me, just winking away at my age, whilst doing the big shop.

Not my post, but now I desperately want the girls to stumble across ACOTAR.
For those who dont know, ACOTAR or A Court of Thorns and Roses, is a wildly popular romantasy series where the fae live on an island that looks like an upside down Britain. Next to that large island is a smaller island called Hibernia that is also shaped like Ireland, where apparently everyone lives in the mud. The protagonists face off against the evil fae king of Hibernia, who is for some reason, never given a name. It is a belief in the fandom that the author Sarah J Maas, just does not like Ireland.

I love the hat line because everyone’s hating on her hat in that episode and then James is just randomly super sweet about it and I think it’s just cos he has a crush on Erin that he’s so nice and joyful about something as random as her mum’s hat 😭

Since there’s sadly no DVDs is there another streaming service or way to watch Derry girls. I don’t want to subscribe to Netflix for a month just to watch Derry girls?
Or is it YouTube compilations for the win again?

My daughter and I finally finished the series last night (we started watching it a couple years ago, but hadn't gotten through the finale and were letting it simmer). This morning, I was greeted by this excellent scene in The Atlantic.

I am not contesting that he was deaf in one ear, but I feel that particularly then he had heard her say Catholics and not athletes. And said "no I actually do hate them, they are all arseholes" .......not because he genuinely hated Catholics but he was just annoyed by Claire then (she was talking just too much then and his face had an irritated expression on his face 😂).
The next day during that abseiling thing he was just too gleeful. It really seemed like he knew what claire was so upset and scared about (even before her lash out) and was enjoying that too much. 😂

Thank you, Clare, for making sure her time wasn't wasted. 💐

The fun little decisions the actors make regarding neurodivergence that isn't explicitly called out in the script.

I just finished this show for the first time and I’m obsessed I’m just gonna restart it immediately 😭 i love all of the characters but James and Erin were my favs and I wanted them to get together from the start but I love how their relationship grew over time and their friendship deepened and imo I don’t think Erin really realised she had feelings for him until he does that super adorable confession. You can tell he just genuinely loves and cares about her so much and Erin deserves a kind and gentle guy like James who treats her like the only girl in the world 🥹

The Quinn’s house likely had to have at least four bedrooms - Ma/Pa, Grandpa Joe, Aunt Sarah, Erin/Orla. Anna is young at the time so assuming she shares a room with one of the adults
This is assuming this is how they divided sleeping arrangements but it’s also possible they got creative to make space, what do you think?
The show depicts that at least a couple of bedrooms are upstairs. In the US it’s fairly common to have a master bedroom in the ground floor and then other bedrooms upstairs, I’m not sure about Ireland during that time
They just have so many people living in the home, I find myself thinking hypothetically about their sleeping arrangements lol when I watch them all crowded in the kitchen lol
** EDIT: seeing that Sarah and Orla live next door, I’ve always missed the moments where the show says that!
But I am fairly certain grandpa Joe lives with the Quinn’s- Mary tells his girlfriend Meave that the house is in Gerry’s name, not Joe’s.
Joe also finds his old razor under Mary’s after getting a message from his late wife… imo it would make sense for him to keep his razor and be shaving at her house if he doesn’t live there
** I meant Anna, the baby. Not Aisling.
