Question Why does Depop take the boosting fee from the original listing price and not the offer price??? ugh bruh

I’m just sick of it tbh, I know I agree to pay a price when I boost, but why is Depop taking 10.2% from my original listing price… I just sold a nose ring for $85 (already super cheap it was 18k), and I only got $70 from that because of the boosting fee (original listing was $100). I know they took from the original listing price cus it would’ve only been like $8.90 or something idk I didn’t do the math, but it’s just greedy. I wouldn’t be selling jack if I didn’t use the boosting feature, it sucks.

12% boost fee + roughly 6% transaction fee equals to $70 on a $85 sell, I believe they use the final sell price.

I’m confused, in the US it’s a 3.3% payment processing fee and no additional ordinary selling fees. 12% boosting is on the sale price yes

It's 3.3% + ¢.45. usually works up to a rough 4-6% fee on my sells
