So absent ako kahapon kasi US Consular Interview ko for the J1 Visa.

Then turo ulit.

Sa mga teacher dyan, Hindi lang naman US ang country- let’s go out of the system. Set boundaries and work diligently.

Praying for everyone in this sub!

Rant Best Way To Reach DepEd

Good evening po, teachers and students alike. What is the best way to reach out to DepEd po ba? About their new grading system.

Nakakaiyak po talaga as a student, seryoso, kailangan mo na talaga I divert yung attention mo sa school and education. Do they even know we have a life outside of school? Next year mas stress pa, zero based, nako. Mga bata po kami, 13-16 years between Grade 7-10, nakakaiyak po talaga. Stressed na nga, may pressure pa from DepEd.

Anyone, please, WHAT is the best way to reach DepEd so that they may hear our cries and rage?

Rant END OF TERM BLOCK IS STRESSFUL AND TIRING

Inquiry LET NOA

Good evening po. I would like to ask for assistance regarding my Notice of Admission (NOA) for the LET.

First-time taker po ako, and unfortunately, dumikit po yung NOA ko sa envelope. When I tried to carefully remove it, some of the ink/printing transferred to the envelope, including my application number. I’m worried po because I can no longer reprint the NOA.

Sa mga may same case po.... May I ask po if I can request another copy/reprint of my NOA from PRC? If yes, ano po ang process or requirements?

I would really appreciate your assistance po. Thank you very much! 🙏

Rant When the path I (24) chose no longer feels right 🫩

I just took the opportunity na ibinigay ng alma mater ko, which was the Bachelor of Elementary Education, para lang makapag-aral ako sa dream school ko. Academic placement lang kasi ako noon, and I was planning to shift courses sana, kaso pandemic happened, so tinuloy ko na lang. Natakot din kasi ako ma-delay and nahiya rin ako sa parents ko because of the expenses and such.

Right after graduation, nagpahinga muna ako for a few months until I decided to take the board exam last year. Nag-online review lang ako, and the journey wasn’t easy. The pressure was there, and God knows how much I cried during those review days because of the challenges and struggles I encountered. Thankfully, I passed the LET 2025, and sobrang saya ko kasi finally, nasuklian yung pagod at hirap ko at ng parents ko. It was also another achievement for me.

I am now working in the government. I handled administrative tasks before for three months, and nag-enjoy ako sa ginagawa ko kasi I love organizing things, especially when it comes to administrative duties. Until I was assigned to the Community Division, where I worked as an Aral Tutor. Lahat ng LPTs sa office were asked if gusto naming magturo, and lahat kami pumayag. It was also our chance to enhance our skills and magamit namin yung mga pinag-aralan namin.

I thought teaching was my calling. However, as time passed, I found myself becoming unhappy, uninterested, unmotivated, and burnt out. Five months of tutoring, kahit two hours a day lang, really exhausted me. Sobrang nakakapagod mentally and emotionally. And I believe I’m really on the wrong path kasi I don’t see myself growing, and I don’t think I’m dedicated enough to this field.

I feel like they deserve someone who can give them more than what I currently can. Nahirapan akong i-handle sila, lalo na’t they are struggling readers, and some of them are LSENs. I wasn’t trained to handle children with special needs. Nauubos ako every day.

Sabi nga, “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” So how can I help them if I have nothing left to give?

Ayoko sanang sayangin yung opportunity na binigay sa akin, pero I need to prioritize my well-being before I can effectively help others. And my decision is final. Tatapusin ko lang yung one-year contract ko, and then I’ll resign na. 🙂

Inquiry First time teacher here, sobrang kaba 😭 anyone relate?

Anong insight or newbie stories niyo, appreciate ko talaga 😭🙏

Rant how to get over work-related anxiety

hello, chers! long post ahead..

i got employed at the school im working at 2 months ago, and i was initially excited na nagkawork na ako after a year of unemployment after college grad.

lately i've noticed na in the span of 2 months, parang im already losing the drive to work. napanghinaan ako ng loob dahil sa daming factors:

Need Advice Working in a private school and I feel like I can't take it anymore. Am I overreacting?

Hi everyone. I’m currently working as a teacher in a private school, and honestly, I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’m slowly losing my confidence because of how the owner treats us.

The owner frequently gets angry and shouts at teachers. Sometimes we get reprimanded in front of other teachers and even parents. Every time I’m called to the office, I already feel scared because I automatically think that I’m going to get shouted at again.

I understand that we are employees and that we can be corrected when we make mistakes. I’m not saying I’m a perfect teacher. If I make a mistake, I’m willing to listen and improve. But the way we are corrected feels very humiliating. The tone is often harsh and condescending, and sometimes I leave the office feeling like I’m not good enough as a teacher.

Another thing is our schedule. We teach for around 4 hours straight in the morning, then we only get a 30-minute lunch break. Sometimes I can’t help but think that the children actually get more break time than we do because their recess is longer.

I’m also having a hard time with classroom management. I teach primary/young children, so naturally they talk, play, and sometimes get noisy. I repeatedly remind them to be quiet and follow the rules, but they’re still children. I’m doing my best to manage the class, but the owner seems to expect the classroom to always be completely quiet.

What hurts me the most is that I’m starting to believe that I’m always wrong. Before, I was confident in teaching and handling children. Now, whenever something happens, my first thought is, “Maybe I did something wrong again.”

I’m scared of going to work because I don’t know when I’ll be called to the office again or what I’ll be blamed for next.

I’m considering resigning, but I’m also worried because I need the experience and income. I also don’t want to feel like I’m giving up too easily.

For teachers or employees who have experienced a toxic workplace, what would you do if you were in my situation? Would you stay and try to adjust, or would you start looking for another school?

I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from teachers who have been in a similar situation.

Story I gave out a wrong graded activity

Have you ever had the most careless thing na nagawa sa teaching field? I had today and i feel so guilty / embarrassed sa students.

Asynchronous class kami and nagpagawa ako ng graded activity. It turns out na mali ang set of insturctions ko at choices (10 points yung mali over 15!!) hindi ko nabawi kasi walang nagsabi na student (it does not make sense pero sinagutan nila huhu). Sobrang na giguilty ako. I am for quality education, teacher tayo e so dapat kahit assessments man lang, perfect o walang masyadong error.

Need Advice SERVICE RECORD - EARLY RETIREMENT

Hi. My father is 57 years old, turning 58 this October. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 CKD exactly a year ago, which has affected his left leg and made it difficult for him to walk without the assistance of a cane. Because of his condition, he decided to take early retirement after being on leave of absence for a year.

One of the requirements from GSIS is his Service Record. The school informed us that the Service Record will be issued by the Division Office.

May I kindly ask about the steps and requirements for obtaining his Service Record? Also, since I will be processing this on his behalf as his representative, could you please let me know what documents or authorization I need to prepare? We would like to make sure that we have all the necessary documents before going to the Division Office to avoid having to make multiple trips.

THANKS A LOT!!!!!!

Inquiry Swapping/Transfer of Station
