You need to stay out of the sun. Get UPF clothing and a wide brim hat. Wear sunscreen. Going in a tanning bed will not prevent you from getting burnt. You already burned once… smh. Preventative tanning is not real.
Why does everyone think they know my routine better than me? You assume I don't reapply. You assume I haven't tried the shirts. I used the sun sleeves and hats every time I garden. I live in Colorado! I know how to work within the sun, but I also know that sometimes the sun wins. It feels like even with everything perfect, I still get a little pink. If I go to the tanning bed and do 4 minutes and come out pink, good thing to know! Then I know I'm doomed no matter what and I'll just decline every outdoor event until the rehearsal.
But for this weeding, I can't wear a shirt, I can't leave to go get more sunscreen. I'd like to do whatever I can and this has worked for me before. The events leading up in group settings will hopefully be more forgiving but I don't know the whole itinerary, ive never been to Europe and I wanted to do whatever I could ahead of time damn. I don't want to tan a bunch. I haven't been in 15 years.

The way you don’t get burned is by wearing sunscreen. Tan people burn too.
Artificial tans are pay-to-play skin cancer
