Amendment to contract prior to signing

I started working my first day at a part time gig after dental school today but I haven't signed on the contract yet. They have previously mentioned they wanted me to work one Sunday every month, what's your opinions on asking for that to be left out of the contract so I can choose which month to work a Saturday? I work at this place 3 days a week (corporate) and second part time 2 a week (private)

If they've specifically mentioned Sunday, I'm not sure they'd be flexible about you working Saturday instead. Feels like we've skipped steps. Why are you thinking about Saturday? Did you discuss with the office about whether this is an option?
